Celebrate Cosmonautics Day in War Thunder
Take part in a special dedicated to the 57th anniversary of manned spaceflight, humankind's’ first foray into space, and receive the “Sputnik” or “Rocket” decals for three victories whilst using any vehicles of ranks 3-5 in random battles.
Yuri Gagarin was a childhood hero for many, he represented the excitement and the adventure for many people around the world at the leading edge of the race into space, the stuff of dreams, he represented all that was good in the human makeup, the need for knowledge, excitement, exploration, he made the spirit of “Where no man has gone before” so relevant and so true before the phrase was used by Gene Roddenberry in Star Trek in 1966.
Decal by Colin 'Fenris' Muir
- “The first man in space” achievement - gain 3 air assists in one battle whilst flying the MiG-15 bis (USSR) and receive a coupon for Yuri Gagarin’s “Red 23” camo for this aircraft
- “The first man on the moon: gain 3 air assists in one battle whilst flying F9F2 and receive a coupon for Neil Armstrong’s “White 116” camo for this aircraft
Any assists will count only if you are piloting the MiG-15bis or the F9F2 when you earn the assist and do not change aircraft before the end of the battle.
Coupons for camouflages can be activated in the shop section → Inventory → Camouflages, or sold on the market.

Is it only Aircraft Kill Assists and not Ground Target Assists?
That was not specified clearly
*Bloodshotauto, Yeah, it's confusing, they only say to gain 3 assists, usually it would be gain enemy kill assists if it were the case so Idk
why cant we get one we chose
These kind of evens are annoying as hell. Where if your a new player. You can get stuff like this based on you will most likely be only be doing one country close to being fully researched and considering this is Limited to 2 planes that are far down the tech tree for both countries. I am Really Question the team developing warthunder their Community, And questioning their logic of how to create a new inflow of new player with crap limited events that boil down to luck based on started country.
just do French tec tree and in this event you aren't missing a lot but in about 3 weeks they are bringing out a big event
Hmmm careful I said the same thing and got my comment put on review.
Question is why taking the wrong blue tone and make it semi historical?
Can you make it 3 kills? 3 Assist has created a weird game of hit but don't kill.
So this is linked to War Thunder more than Finland turning 100 years old last December? Sorry Gaijin, but saying that Finland didn't get it's special for the 100th anniversasy because: "Note that there has to be some correlation to a game as War Thunder in some shape or form to make it something worth "celebrating"." is nonsense if something like this gets its own special. I love WT and have spent a good amount of money on it but it feels that you let politics affect e.g. some of the events :[
you are correct I think they should of added a plane and also skins and maybe some decals and I really didn't like how they set out the 100 yrs of RAF because they made it impossible for players that don't go head on and it was only beneficial to skilled players with tons of silver lions
FinPena, are you arguing? And you claim to be not new to WT???
Maybe gajin should take some lessons in how to explain stuff.
Can the mig15bis german be used to receive the camo?
Only USSR MiG-15 bis.
Afaik only the Russian MiG-15 can get it
I swear these are the exact same decals as from a few years ago except harder to get
Just got three assists and no camo - ???
And I was in a Mig-15 bis
