Naval Battles testing will be available for all who purchased Naval packs!
Test features:
- New offshore location “Northern Port”, based on the coastline of Spitsbergen, has been added.
Changes and improvements in game mechanics:
- For vessels with separate armament groups: in the case a player chooses a specific armament group, the rest may still continue fire, including the main calibre weapons.
- Target selection changed for secondary and AA weapons. You may now manually select targets for them.
- If target is selected manually, the target remains selected even if you turn the camera away, rangefinder follows the target and sends range data to the respective weapons. In order to cancel the current selection you should either choose another target or just click designated “select target” button at any empty space.
- To update range data in RB you should use “select target” on this target again.
- View from sights has been improved: vessel model and fume from tubes no longer block the view.
- An option to aim at a point on the surface has been added — it activates with “Targeting at the point" command.
- An option to lock on target in a mode without markers has been added.
- Torpedo markers have been changed.
- When you lock on target in RB you now have lead marker for torpedoes.
- Water visuals have been updated - wave structure is more detailed.
- New modification for vessels has been added - artillery support. Works similar to artillery modification in ground battles.
- Vessel dynamics updated. Vessel performance during maneuvering, acceleration and stopping are more realistic.
List of available vessels:
Germany:
- LS-1
- S-38b
- R-301
- AF D1
USA:
- PT-6
- Higgins PT-71
- SC-497
- PC-451
Known bugs
- AI controlled weapons may sometimes not account for landscape.
- Short range limitations in using artillery support.
It’s very simple. Become the owner of one of the pre-order packs in the Gaijin store. Your purchase will automatically make you a member of the beta test.
In addition, the set contains some fantastic game bonuses, including a unique premium craft which will be available in beta test. Please note! Game sessions for the first testing stage will be available in special Events (Events and Specials - Naval Battles) at specific times, several times a week.
Do you own an early access package? Congratulations, for you it’s easy!
Launch the game as normal and you will be presented with the option to download the main testing files on joining one of the test events, there is no requirement for a different launcher. After this, visit the game’s official forum, log in with your account and check out the special forum section!
We’ve also opened an application for players who want to participate but haven't purchased the packs for the closed beta test, which starts later. You can send in an application and we’ll review you as a candidate for the role of captain on a military vessel.
Send ApplicationAttention! You can participate in the testing from no more than two PC’s.
In the special forum section, you can find out about the testing schedule and news. You can also discuss future naval vessels with the developers. We hope to see you there.

Pay to join a pre-beta test server, gotta love the logic behind this whenever I see it.
What do you mean? If you want to try boats first then pay the ticket to get in. If you don't, just wait for the Open-Beta.
pokenaut7, fanboys throwing money on everything.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zbpy_Vgleo4
Why another map with islands? I hope there will be open ocean too...
that sounds incredibly boring
*cod-killer02, not if it was "stormy open ocean", imagine, limited visibility, pouring rain and lightning, 50 foot waves....
so, i bought the pt109 pack a few days ago, and i see the naval mission showing, but dont see any way to select the PT boat, am i doing something wrong?
Can't play your premiums untill the naval stuff is officially out.

CokeSpray, Have done, thank you hopefully they'll be able to solve the issue :D
So, will be the SB? (No markers modes...)
if i buy a naval pack do i keep my research progress? or does all the progress get resetted like tanks did when the closed test became an open test
There's no progress in naval events, you don't research anything since there are no naval trees yet.
