One of the more popular ways to make your vehicle cooler - camouflage - has become even more functional for tankers, because as of update 1.71 “New E.R.A.” we have added one very useful layer - a fixed one.
Fixed camouflages complement, or completely replace, the standard camouflage, which doesn’t allow for scaling or rotation, and it means that can be used to create not only non-slot decals, but also complex camouflages for ground vehicles that are tied to that vehicle’s construction.
From the familiar M46 "Tiger", showing the ‘wild cat’ camouflage which isn’t just a decal...
...to a new complicated camouflage for the Chieftain Mk.10 which has recently been introduced in update 1.73.
This mechanic will not only extend the capabilities of authors, but will also make each camouflage really unique and suitable for a particular vehicle. Although the creation of such camouflages is more labour-intensive, we will continue to create camouflages for your vehicles and we await to see more of your creations.
You like customisation, so we endeavour to make it more interesting!

I love the camouflages in-game, but sadly a lot of vehicles lack them. The ones that have several, to get them for free, you need A LOT of kills. Tiger 2 needs like 500 kills for the last camo (which is a completely white winter camo...) I suggest you guys implement more usermade camos (realistic camo patterns and etc, of course), like you've done before. Let the community do the work, but please make them available for unlock, not just purchase with eagles :/
Sorry this is not the beat idea, I own the m46 tiger and I feel my self forced to cover the tiger with bushes and decals.. Please give ua the option to remove it. I would pay for a skinset without it.
Oh yeah, yanks Gaijin, add more crap for custom cameos, but keep pushing PS4 accessability further and further away. Why not just add the coolest vehicle in existence but make it employee exclusive?
You must walk around in circles with that chip on your shoulder
Eh, if other people cant see it I don't care
Also, I do like all the new US tank camos. I've been grinding them out and especially like the tri-color.
can you make custom camo/skin visible to other players?
What if there was a feature that showed user skins in custom battles? Or maybe even it's own seperate gamemode "Showcase" or something, and there's an option in the settings to "Sync user skins to server". When this is enabled, you can see others' user skin, and they can see yours. And with it disabled, you can't see theirs, and they can't see yours.
No point in using camo that only I can see. That will not say anything about my acomplishments or experience to the others around. Those camos could be in game already, with hard tasks to get them. But instead we are getting camos for Tier 1 bombers (nothing about that, great way to push newbies into learning how to bomb while farming let´s say 200 ground targets for that camo) that are available only for 200 GE. And judging from description it is not community made. Ridiculous...
Seems like progress, maybe make the realistic skins that are popular on the live page as a real camo into the game so everyone can see them? (and then give the skin maker some GE for every so many likes on his skin/camo )
I would like to be able to change tank paint to cleaner new car painting than it is now It was able to be done when it was 1.41
I prefer that tiger paint on my locust
