At Gamescom 2017 we will introduce the new major update 1.71 “New E.R.A”. The name was coined for several reasons - first, we are adding a 6th rank for tanks and invite you to test the vehicles of the Cold War and Vietnam war period. Ground vehicles in War Thunder will receive new armour types - composite and Explosive Reactive Armour. This new era in tank construction marked the switch to brand new technologies in protection against powerful HEAT rounds and missiles that could easily destroy any WW2 armour. New infantry support machines will join combat - we are ready to tell you about some of them in the next few days. Stay tuned!

I'm laughing so hard right now. Really ? This IS what you had in mind ? One would think before trying to add those type of armor you should already fix the current balancing and performances issues already within the game but whatever. It will probably be just as buggy and unbalanced as the previous tier. How could someone expect anything else from what is in short an april fool that made it to the game ?

While I love the addition of a 6th tier for Ground Forces, there are a couple of important issues that NEEDS fixing first! Br 5.7+ is a mess, the grind is absolutely awful, and there are too many aircrafts missing armaments and bombload options.
Italian fighters especially need ordnance asap, about time they get some attention
Have you ever compare the Type 65 5.3 vs the M42 Duster 6.7? The Type 65 is better armoured and can penetrate even better than the M42. Or have you ever compared the KV 2 4.3 vs the FV4005 6.7? Same reload speed, KV is better armoured, have full turret traverse and move even faster. Or how the G.55 4.3 can outmanouver all Spitfires at high speeds? Or how the Chi-Ri II 5.0 can't kill anything at its BR? Or how the M4A3E2 4.7 can't kill anything if gets uptiered but can kill everything if downtier
