Warmly welcomed by the players of War Thunder, the new Italian aircraft are now a common sight in the skies above the battlefields. To prepare them for release, all Italian aircraft went through a closed playtest on the live servers, after which they were progressively unlocked for all players to research. Both purchasers of one of the Italian Founder packs and active players of War Thunder could participate in the testing, giving the developers invaluable feedback in the process. Today, all regular aircraft of the game’s sixth major nation can now be unlocked by all players, with the top jet fighters Fiat G.91 and G.91R/1 the last to finish their trials.
Further information will be published in time on the official Developer’s Blog here!

war thunder thx for having the best game ever and i love this game alot and i cant stop playing it because its the most fun game i ever had and its free
Thank you! Developers will appreciate that very much! Tho, War Thunder would not be what it is without the Fantastic Community that we have... so we do Thank everyone for their valuable Time and Effort, their Support, Feedback, Bug Reports and many discussions... so, again Thank you all o7
Italian Air Force was undermined but still quite a foe in WW2 but their ground/armored forces....were literally outdated to almost a joke. their best tank, or tank destroyer I should say, particularly was the Semovente 75/18 M40-42. It was the only armor allies feared. all other Italian tanks were not up to par with anything the allies had, they even struggled with the erroneous crusader. Italian armor only struggled more as allied industrial means grew past theirs.
The 75/18 was NOT the only Italian armor the allies feared. It was, however, the only one built in quantity. In North Africa and Sicily, the 30 or so semovente da 90/53 built were according to rommel the deadliest vehicles available to the axis with a gun with better penetration, ballistics and range than the flak 88 despite the open crew area and low stored ammo count. Then there was the best Italian vehicle of the war, the semovente 105/2 - it was considered one of the best spg's of the war
Oh sweet now I can try them all out now!
Enjoy! ^^
Will you be removing the Italian planes from the German tech tree then?
They said they'll stay there for those who already have them
EpicBlitzkrieg87, seems a bit redundant
The Breda guns were not very effective in real life (so they say), and they are very weak in WT. Could be please be a little less authentic and give them a boost? Please? Otherwise italian planes will never be able to compete from BR3 and up. Most got these peashooters... Apart from that: GREAT GAME
VA BENE
