Dear Players,
we are pleased to present to you an updated assortment in the war bonds shop in April. Complete Battle Tasks and earn War Bonds by simply playing War Thunder and exchange it for many valuable prizes including premium vehicles!
Battle Tasks will be available to you after reaching the 3rd rank of any nation in the game. You can read more about War Bonds and Battle Tasks in the War Thunder wiki.
Good luck and see you on the battlefield!
Pz.Kpfw Churchill
|
A captured war prize, the typically British Churchill joins the German Ground Forces arsenal! Mounting a fast firing 57mm QQF 6 Pounder main cannon and sporting durable armour, the Churchill provides quite a contrast to its Panzer III and IV counterparts. Leading the charge, albeit rather slowly, from the front is what the Churchill does best. Co-ordinate with the more mobile Panzerkampfwagens on your team to secure objectives and deliver ordinance with speed and precision to your targets. Boost your German lineup and research progress with this captured treasure! |
Avenger Mk II
|
The American Workhorse Torpedo Bomber of the pacific joins His Majesty's Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm! Originally known in British Service as the “Tarpon”, the Avenger Mk II represents the second variant of Avenger in British service. The Avenger Mk II provides the British lineup with a reliable and sturdy carrier-borne aggressor, capable of dispatching both Naval and Ground Targets alike. Equipped with 4 x 500 lb bombs or two choices of Torpedo, flexibility is provided when attacking targets on land or at sea. A stalwart for any Rank II combined battle lineup, be sure to add the Avenger Mk II to your Royal inventory! |
You can get these machines just by playing! |
The current war bonds will not be removed immediately at this time, you will still be able to use them only until the 7th of April for the purchase of some goods in the war bond shop. 5 different premium vehicles from different nations and other items will be available in the “Warbonds” shop this month:
Battle tasks: These individual tasks bring variety into the gameplay and prevent situations when all the players in a battle try to complete one specific task ignoring mission objectives that are needed for a victory. They are available for players that have reached the 3rd rank of any nation. For completion, the player will receive Silver Lions and Warbonds - special in-game currency with their own shop, where you can purchase many of different items.
You can read more about battle tasks and war bonds in our devblog.
Enjoy the new items available and see you on the battlefield!

I think it'd benefit everyone if you started adding rare collectible/exclusive units into these again. Say, like the Yer-2 TAT's, special SM.79's & SB-2M's, etc. Or maybe some ultra rare ones like the LaGG-3-4, P-39Q-15, etc. I can guarantee way more people would take the time to grind out warbonds for more special units. Us collectors are willing to spend the time for even those basic units :)
I agree in full. I'd love the Heartbreaker, especially since you originally got it for just logging in.
I agree, on the other hand I wouldn't like that only those who are able to invest absurd amounts of hours would be able to get those rare vehicles and working people would be left out. Gaijin should really implement the possibility to pay the remaining amount of warbonds with GE with an exchange rate of 1 GE for each 2 Warbonds.
If you let it accumulate month after month then a dedicated player might be able to get enough Warbonds for a premium vehicle but within only 1 month it's next to impossible .
i have nabbed 3 decals and the tb3 from this you just have to get lucky on the tasks.
A dedicated player can easily get any vehicle, I do have most premiums vehicles, I got 3 or 4 through warbonds, last month I got the decal, a bush and then for the rest of the month boosters for 200 wb every other day, that would be the equivalent of a vehicle ;)
There need to be better prizes in the range above 60 and below 1150 war bonds. Time trials and orders aren't worth the effort.
Completely agree, unless you play tanks and want the camo, or you happen to want the decal then there's nothing between the booster and the vehicles. I have literally hundreds of orders I will never use and test drives are an expensive pointless joke. Not only do you spend warbonds to get them, then you have to drop several hundred thousand SL to put them in a slot and expert them. Money that's wasted if you don't buy them after. Also why spend 3d of tasks to earn a 4h test drive?
I'm going to fake my own death and go hide in a cave in northern tibet with super good internet and PC, then maybe I'll have enough time on my hands to get enough warbonds to get one of the premiums... maybe.
I would love to see you guys adding discounts on planes as one of the prizes. Say 50% for 800 or something. As a collector I would be happy to spend some cash to get a premium, especially with a discount. I would also be encouraged to grind war bonds a bit more for a reasonable priced discount. It would mean more playing time and money in Gaijin's pocket and a premium for me. Win win! I also agree to bring some rare planes back, but can you also give the option to buy? I want Wermore's Mustang!
Good idea, maybe bundle a discount with a test drive ?
I would LOVE to see discounts and test drives migrated to the warbond shop exclusively. As a player playing literally since closed Beta, I've only ever gotten 1 discount that I have ever actually used (an option to throw them away to get them off the front of my action bar would be awesome too!). And test drives are just a joke. After 6 straight months of nothing but BM-8-24s and Panz 42s from my login rewards, I'll never use a test drive again (who wants to waste 500k SL for a "free" 1h?!?)
I spent 3 months grinding bonds. Didn't once get enough for a plane or tank. So this bond-stuff is just on ignore.
Work Harder, Comrade.
Last month, I got over 2300 War bonds by not even trying, just getting them randomly. Same thing happened last month but around 2100 war bonds. It's not that hard for me to get them lol, just a few days of actually trying and you can get a plane/tank.
Has anyone actually achieved an aircraft without using the blueprint?
Oh my bad, I see mto be confusing it with the shop where u spend GE.
could you please add a box with previous decals in the warbond shop so you can chance to get a different one. say at 1000 war bonds as there is a random aspect.
opened 11 crates yesterday: got 8 +50% SL, 2 +50% and one +100% RP. Rigged AF.
So, I understand that Sim Pilots still cannot earn Warbonds?
