“Better than honor and glory, and History’s iron pen, was the thought of duty done and the love of his fellow men.” — Richard Watson Gilde
November 11th is a day that is celebrated worldwide by both the military communities and the people for which they once protected. Originally celebrated to commemorate the close of WWI in Great Britain. The first Armistice Day celebration was held at Buckingham Palace on November 11th, 1919 with King George V raising a toast to veterans and hosting a banquet in honor of the French President.
Since this day, many countries around the world have observed this date as associated with honoring their veterans of all wars in their own way. For example, in the United States, Armistice Day was converted to Veterans Day in the 1950’s by President Eisenhower as a way to honor those that had served and died as well as those living. Some countries like the U.K. have official ceremonies for both Armistice Day as well as Remembrance Day on the following Sunday.
Veterans across the world exemplify the ideals that every society holds - Honor, Integrity, and Courage and it is their undying sense of sacrifice that inspires the young and old among us to be better. From the Field of Flanders, the frozen streets of Stalingrad, and the Jungles of Vietnam. We here at War Thunder would like to say a sincere thank you to the Men and Women around the World who give and have given every day so much for so many.

Ever since I was young I always made two cups of tea on the 11th, I remember thinking that I could prepare one for them when they came home, I'm older now and know that it's a silly thing to do but I keep the tradition up even now
Long life to WWI heroes!!!
In WW1 Serbia lost 60% of its male population. Слава им!
