Get Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya in the Guardian of the Baltic Sea Event!
In October 1911, the battleship Gangut was launched, named after the Battle of Gangut, the Russian Empire’s first naval victory. After the First World War, the ship remained inactive for a long period; it was subsequently refitted in 1925 and renamed Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya (October Revolution). At the start of the Second World War it was redeployed to Kronstadt, where between 1941 and 1943, it engaged German forces positioned near Leningrad with artillery fire. Although the Luftwaffe made numerous attempts to sink the battleship, it survived every bombing raid and artillery barrage. In 1943, it helped lift the Siege of Leningrad and continued to support Soviet offensive operations in the Baltic region until the summer of 1944.

Polish Vehicles and a Trophy with Decals Commemorating Polish Armed Forces Day!
In Poland, Armed Forces Day is celebrated on August 15th in honor of the victory in the Battle of Warsaw in 1920; however, the history of the Polish Army dates back to the very founding of the state in the 10th century. In the 15th century, Poland prevailed over the Teutonic Order, which acknowledged itself as a vassal of the Polish Crown, which secured the country’s access to the Baltic Sea. In the late 16th and early 17th centuries, following its union with Lithuania, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth became one of the largest and most powerful states in Europe.
