The End of Operation S.U.M.M.E.R.
Attention! Outdated news format. Content may not display correctly.
Command declares its gratitude!
Fighters, the operation under the codename “S.U.M.M.E.R” has come to an end. Tens of thousands of participants competed for the title of the most successful fighters and rightly deserve their awards - a new vehicle from range, "113"!
The most active players received:
Fw 189 Uhu | Grant Mk.I | F7F-3 Tigercat | КV-220 |
And unique decals for pilots and 3D decorations for tankers.
Good news for those participants that were only a few tasks short of completion for the prizes. Until 09:00 GMT on the 24th of August,
"Marks of Distinction” for all days of the “Operation S.U.M.M.E.R.” will be available for purchase from the in-game item shop.
Congratulations to all our winners and on behalf of command once again thank you to all participants.
Good luck on the battlefield, testers!

I liked this event. I got the Uhu without too much stress and I probably could've gotten all 4 if I could buy some boxes. Please make the KV-220 available again some time in the future!
I know I have several Marks of Distinction but not sure the dates on most of my earned Marks of Distinction. When I look in my achievements and then the Tab marked Item Shop it listed the tanker/pilot boxes you can purchase. How can I tell which one I earned vs unearned? All seem to be listed and nothing annotated. Its almost like I would have to purchase every single one blindly (even if I somehow duplicate some earned) Does the fact my account is PS4 have any bearing on this? Help
Marks you've earned are in the achievements section under Operation SUMMER. Ones you've earned are listed and coloured gold. Ones you've made progress in but not attained are silver, ones you missed entirely aren't there at all. It doesn't matter if they're in order, you just need to get 18 or 36 total for relevant reward vehicles - pilot marks for Uhu and Tigercat, tanker marks for Grant and KV-220. That you're on PS should be irrelevant.
I've gotten at least 18 marks (I have the fw189) but I dont have any 3d weapon decals. Why?
Every 10 earned tanker marks of distinction awards a random SMG, every 10 pilot marks grants one of the pinup decals - they don't mix and match.
CaldariSteel, Pinups were every 8 pilot marks, not 10. @*FINUMTACET, If you have the Fw 189, then you were doing pilot's tasks. Only tank tasks give you 3d decals.
The only vehicle I really cared about in this (and the only one I got), was the Fw-189, and it's easily the most fun I've had at rank 1 in a long time. Thanks, even if I would've preferred it if there was a regular variant too (the event version is the main production model, so maybe one of the later models or one of the experimental developments could've been the event aircraft).
God I WISH I had time for this. ;_____; That KV-220... it looks so beautiful...
The event stopped been fun with the continual changes of the tasks from website to ingame. If you were online when the new task became active and it had changed, you didnt know without a relog and wasted time trying to complete the `wrong` task. Even though it offered free items, the frustration of not knowing what the task was, was enough to make me give in trying.
i had to buy one mark of distinction , but I got the pps43 , so im happy ! :) very nice event !
Spasibo Gaijin, snagged 3 decals and the Fw-189!
I hope i will be able to get the FW 189 in another event. i missed this one :(
Nice vehicles, thank you :) Got all 40 tasks, had to buy some because I during some time I had no PC, but I liked the tasks enough to finally spend some money again on War Thunder, after the E-100 disasters.
