Dear friends,
We continue to expand the possibilities for you to create game content!
Camouflages, locations and missions, aircraft and now ground vehicles! You may seek to take advantage of the War Thunder Wiki which contains information on how to create game content, such as our guide on how to create models of ground vehicles!
Creating art is not only an opportunity to add your creation to the game, but also a real chance to earn money in our affiliate program Revenue Share, which enables you to yield part of the earnings from the sales of content you create. There are already multiple camouflages that have been created by our active players which have been selected to take part in the Revenue Share program, and even a complete vehicle - the German night interceptor He-219A-7, created by _Joy_Division_. What about maps?
Bodobaggins, Indeed, his maps would be an awesome addition to the game.
Not all things at once ;)
Thank you so much!!! Now i can put my BT-42 into the game ^^
Good luck :)
Finally some Finnish tanks. Good luck with that, and I'd hope to see that in game.
Will we get more "Revenue Share" camouflages? Also some for tanks, i would buy them if there would be a greater variety of if we would get tank camouflages with all the historical markings.
I think we will not stop on that we have already in game :)
Stona_WT, Is just that i have been waiting for more skins for a couple of good major updates and still not a sign of them.
first
If I wanted to create my own tank - with classes and such - is there a way for me to edit such things like performance and armor values (type/thickness), scripted modules - even NEW modules and armor types? You see, with friends, we were thinking of doing T-64, just for fun and to test out things (for sh*ts and giggs, as they say)... would such features as regenerative steering, composite armor and autoloader with secondary ammo-racks be possible? Thanks in advance.
You could modify the reload to get the effect of an autoloader, but not sure about the composite armor... Maybe you could modify (physically) thin armor in the game engine to act thicker? And regenerative steering is not yet modeled in-game...
i think only gajin can do that. or maybe if they help you. you can add that 30Mm composite armour Equals 300mm RHA an example.
This is great news. Thank you so much! I'm not sure I could use this as I'm not that skilled yet and a Blender user but I'will try (make model in Blender hten use 3dMax trial to finish perhaps?). The only question now is - what vehicle exactly? The well documented ones are in game already mostly so perhaps something crazy like the Unviversal Carrier with 2pdr :-)
Something interesting that will be used by more than few players ;)
object 278 is the first thing i thought about when i saw this :)
if someone do a 3d model for you - can you at least add cockpit for it? He219 is a great plane but useless in SB (for me at least) due to lack of cockpit. What is annoying in bomber is a problem in fighter where in dogfight you do not have point of reference looking around and manoeuvring at the same time.
"As an illustrative example, a tank in the *.max format is attached to this document." I'm not seeing this attached anywhere? Do I have to redownload the CDK and it will be in the folder next to the sample_i_185?
Are we going to be provided with a sample tank to explore the 3d model, make slight changes, have some fun screwing around, and use for reference when creating our own models? Similar to the I-815 you provided for airplanes? Also, only 4 comments per page is shown for the comment sections on the news (at least for this post) - just a heads up for the site admin if case of error and not intentional.
