Pilots and tankers!
Today we present to you, a very unique task involving the control over a strategic point. For this task, the battle will unfold at Mozdok, or more precisely in a particularly small area of it: the central road. Whichever team controls it will be able to ensure the speedy delivery of supplies to their own side, but the battle promises to be unusual, with each side controlling entirely different types of forces, one side in the air and the other on the ground.

Take part in “The Road for the Brave” AB-Event by defending strategic points in
ground force vehicles, or attacking in air force vehicles to seize control!
Event Goals
The team in control of aircraft must capture a road initially belonging to the ground force team, and in turn, they must defend the road against capture for 15 minutes.
The road can be captured by making a short run along it with an aircraft’s landing gear making contact with the ground, similar to the Airfield capture in Arcade domination aircraft battles.
- Victory is awarded to the pilots after 5 successful captures of the road.
- Victory is awarded to the tankers if the road is successfully defended for 15 minutes.
Both sides will use rank one vehicles. Command has been unable to provide any anti-aircraft guns to the tankers’ side.
Event Characteristics
- Mission length is limited to 15 minutes.
- The event will be available in Arcade Battle mode.
- Unlimited respawns for both sides.
- The aircraft team’s points constantly decrease and run out at the 15 minute mark.
- The ground forces team loses 20% of their points after each road capture (5 captures are required in total).

No reward for winning or killing?? Damn, that's really nice! No more poison and stuff. You should do more events without rewards (or with easy rewards), so that we can fully enjoy them!
This event made me lose faith in humanity a bit. Th Number of people who are just so bullheaded and stupid to the point where they jsut cant fathom that light machine guns dont work on tanks is just mind bogling. I even saw a Hurricane spend the entire match doing nothign but strafing tanks with the tracer belt.
This event isn't very exciting. It needs more action.
Germany/japan need better planes for this that actually have cannons. Germany should get the Italian fighters and the He-112 A-0. Japan should get the A6M2-N. Soviets should get the I-15's. All nations should allow fighters that carry only 100 pound bombs. Possibly allow the early biplane bombers, like kingfisher/swordfish/F1M2. I will say that the road is unfair to aircraft, as its the only airstrip in the game that changes elevation on you. They need to move the point to level ground.
Aircraft would always win if they had no armament at all. Right now 90% of the players seem intent on shooting the tanks when the goal is to land on or near the road. Elevation differences hinder approach from one side, but half the tank team is generally positioning themselves such that they cannot even shoot at a plane landing from the other direction.
tizianenel, With 8 vs 5 balance, if all aircraft were focused on landing, the tanks simply couldn't shoot them down fast enough... not that they can shoot planes down fast enough even if it's just one dude going for the landings...
It seems that the air VS ground events of before were only to test the strength of AA VS aircraft, now it seems that Gaijin has moved on to see how well ground attackers can prevent advancement.
Felt biased in favor of aircraft. Po-2 is truly 2-OP in this with its massive bombs, and it's easy to keep altitude above the tanks where they will be unable to aim at you. The terrain the tanks need to defend is quite large and with altitude differences one tank cannot cover all of it. Aircraft can also land next to the road and still capture, making physical blocking of the road more difficult. West approach has easy landing, east has quite the hilly one. Other than Po-2, attacking tanks bad.
Funny gamemode ! I like it !
This is quite a fun event especially if you have a po-2. There is a sort of exploit that needs to be fixed where planes can get repaired on the road then respawn on the road after repair and do multiple caps just by taxing forward a few yards. Making the respawn in the air would be fairer to the ground team
Why wasn't A13 mk1 3rd RTR available for use in this event? Plus please make A13 Mk2 1939 available in shop in a bundle/as premium/as a prize again.
Very easy in planes had around 25 games and lost only 2, fun for an hour or so and then just very repetitive like all maps in this game
