Dear Pilots and Tankers!
On the 9th of May, the War Thunder Team met the Victory Day together with some of our players in Odintsovo, near Moscow in Russia. Those in attendance could try the latest model of the Oculus Rift, participate in draws for souvenirs and of course, just chat with the developers. The highlight of the event was the presentation of new vehicles. In Odintsovo, our guests heard first hand about the future plans of the development of the game.
Today, we will reveal the inside information to all and will show you two interesting new vehicles to be added with one of the incoming updates!
Douglas B-18 Bolo
The majority of countries did not have the vehicles that met the high requirements of the military command. The US, for instance ,did not have a good medium bomber - and it was civil aviation that solved the problem. Not unlike the Germans that created their He.111 based on a passenger aircraft, the Americans adapted the civil B-18 to military needs. The “Bolo” could carry an impressive bomb load.
IТ-1
Now let us introduce some completely new gameplay - the first but not last rocket tank which was armed with guided missile weaponry! The chassis of the T-62 carrying no guns, just 15 deadly guided missiles. An enemy behind a hill? No problem for an experienced gunner! IT-1 - one of the first rocket tanks armed with ATGMs in War Thunder.
Follow the news in our Devblog, where we will inform you about all the new vehicles of incoming updates!
We would also like to thank our partners - MSI, ZyXEL, SteelSeries and Nvidia - for their support.
The War Thunder Team

Of course... No artillery! "it's got no fun"... katiusha type missile tanks, yank missile tanks, and of course nebelwerfer, now another toy, for money. Why don't you put the M60A2??? a decent 155mm cannon and the possibility of launching ATGM thru' that cannon. The most important thing that needs correction is the BR balance (the whole topic from the forum, 3k+ posts, vanished!) and that so called tax and consequence free "air support" in GF AB! But Gaijin lives in a parallel reality.
They are adding the M60A2. It was shown after the ASU-57.
it was announced (or at least mentioned) in the leaked announcement presentation that we will indeed be getting the M60A2 'Starship' they specifically mentioned the starship, while talking about the M48 which is also coming
Does IT-1 mean future t-62?
New loepard and M48 and new M60 are coming so im guessing T62 in 1.59 as well, or at least T-54B with gun stabilizer
Since the IT-1 uses a T-62 hull, I think it would be a safe bet to say we're getting the T-62. You can't have a T-62 derivative without the base T-62, after all.
Hmm, I can get behind the B-18, but I'm not sure about the IT-1. With the game as it is right now, it will be shooting guided missiles at war-time King Tigers and Mausii... Mauses... Whatever. In addition, it seems very much like a gimmick vehicle, designed more as a showpiece than as a vehicle intended for serious in-game combat. After all, its ammunition is severely limited, (12 shots IRL), and it had a large dead zone around it thanks to the missile's minimum range.
they have said in the QnA that the post war & WW2 tanks will be separated once enough tanks are added (i belive adding more post war tanks is what they mean)
Now, super sonic jet fighters pls?
F4E "Phantom" and MIG21 "Fishbed"
and EE Lightning
From what I see, you haven't implemented 300 meter minimum range for the missile?
does this mean we get the m551 sheridan? since you both denied ATGM and the sheridan, now the ATGM will finally make its way to WT :) i really hope you changed your mind about the sheridan.
I asked, they said yes. On the Q&A.
i see a big fail incoming if only one of such vehicles are added for one... *cough* nation.
Does "cough" mean CCCP?
Premium or not premium that is the question...
to read or not too read that is the answer
Very nice! Looking forward to the B-18. o/
good job with the new additions:)
I would say ATGMs are so fun and add new gameplay and diversity to the game.
