Pilots and tankers, we now have new offers for you in the renewed “Warbonds” shop. The beginning of the new month will give you access to new premium vehicles which will be available for the completion of battle tasks. In order to receive them, just complete daily Battle tasks in War Thunder battles and earn a special currency - “Warbonds”, which can be used to purchase vehicles previously only obtainable with Golden Eagles! The current war bonds will not be removed immediately at this time, you will still be able to use them only until the 7th of May for the purchase of some goods in the war bond shop. |
5 different premium vehicles from different nations will be available in the “Warbonds” shop.
Two of the five available vehicles:
Hurricane Mk.IIB (USSR) - The most widely produced British fighter which has been introduced in the Russian tree. “Another aircraft of one nation in another's!” - You believe so? But this aircraft is now in the Ssoviet tree, and that means that the Soviet mechanics have been busy making it their own! Only machine guns? Now the vehicle has two 20 mm ShVAK cannons and two 12.7 mm machine guns. An aircraft of the second rank that ensures you won’t be afraid of head on attacks.
Kpfpz. Churchill (Germany) - What is a Churchill? It’s kind of slow, big, well-armoured tank with a pretty good turret. One word - epic. It perfectly describes the majority of German heavy tanks and therefore has earned the right to be amongst them. Apparently, this is what the Germans believed when starting to use this captured vehicle. But it is already familiar to us as the British Churchill, which once sent fear to all fans of German vehicles, it can effortlessly shrug of an enemy's attack against its frontal armour. Now just imagine how this armour will frustrate the Soviet forces. This is the German captured Churchill!
You will be able to purchase the following items:

Battle tasks - these individual tasks bring variety into the gameplay and prevent situations when all the players in a battle try to complete one specific task ignoring mission objectives needed for a victory. They are available for players that have reached the 3rd rank of any nation. For completion, the player will receive Silver Lions and Warbonds - special in-game currency with their own shop, where you can purchase a lot of different items.
You can read more about battle tasks and war bonds in our devblog.
Enjoy the new items available and see you on the battlefield!

That one was already available just around when you introduced warbonds, that's how I got it. Will you some day make the Panzerwerfer available via warbonds?
Maybe :) Right now you can focus on Premium vehicles :)
Problem is, I got just about all I am interested in, which is almost all actually. Well, except the premium H8K, which was introduced after I decided not to spend any more money on War Thunder, following the E-100 and finally the Russian M3 Lee disasters. I guess I'll just go for decals, always nice to have exclusive stuff :)
Aaaaaaand another decals. Nice. Thanks Gaijin. I'll never forgot the 1.53 ;) 1k5 isn't that too much? You basically need to put 1/3 of the month (if you do task every day) to have a single decal. Before you used to put it *in* game so that we could get it...
And what about bushes? We were supposed to be able to get two sets of bushes every month with warbonds, last month only one was available (you couldn't buy second once you got one), there are bugs concerning that reported (people who wasted bonds on something they already had, apparently not bugs, yeah?) and all questions about it are without answers.
I have a question: Do WarBonds expire? Because it sas next to my war bond count 9h.
Yes they do.
...and that sucks!
If you want to discuss this at the forum you can find the thread here: https://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/311554-shop-capture-yourself-a-churchill-with-warbonds/
Already closed by Stona, apparently it's either main website, or nothing now. :/
Oh my, looks to me like some comments here have already been pruned, forum would just be so much better than these comments here.
on your marks get set Go :)
Not worth the effort...
Well, it's free stuff, and if you play anyways why not go for it? First and second task are easy enough, the last one I change until I get something I consider feasible (killing 10 attackers in tier 4-5 for example is harder than killing 68 fighters, because there just aren't enough attackers around at that level. 68 fighters on the other hand is very feasible, it's equivalent to the 'get 8 wins' task)
Time is money friend and it takes huge amount of effort and time to even get the required amount of warbonds... due the tasks only give about 20-40
Why this change every months (not of the prices) but the reset of the war bonds, I manage 500-700 WB in a month and that's never enough to get decals or a P item. Why can't I be allowed to save up over a number of months?!?
Warbond decorator boxes now have 100k lions as a possible reward for 1500 warbonds. That's less than you spend rerolling bad tasks.
