About the Dolgushin’s La-7
- Hero of the Soviet Union Sergey Fyodorovich Dolgushin was the commander of the 156th Fighter Aviation Regiment, which received brand-new La-7 fighters toward the end of the war. Dolgushin’s specific La-7 variant is distinguished by its unique camouflage. This aircraft is designed for combat at low altitudes, where it fully retains its excellent flight characteristics. Its forward-firing armament consists of two 20 mm ShVAK cannons with a wide variety of ammunition belts.
