The confrontation between North and South Korea that began in 1950 quickly escalated into a large-scale conflict, with the USSR and China supporting one side, and the USA, Great Britain, and several other nations backing the other. The war marked the first time jet aircraft were used on a massive scale. American B-29 Superfortress bombers dominated the Korean skies, but soon they met a new challenge: Soviet MiG-15 fighter jets!
On April 12nd 1951, B-29 bombers escorted by American fighters headed toward northwestern North Korea but were intercepted by Soviet MiG-15s. Casualty figures vary, but the victory belonged entirely to the USSR, with Soviet pilots managing to shoot down several bombers and fighters with no or minimal losses of their own. In the United States, this day became known as “Black Thursday”.

Comments will be premoderatedVery nice! Can we get some ground events too?
Why is this happening when theres a ground RB-focused event going in dude :sob: This is kinda bad planning ngl, this and nuclear thunder.
Some people play air. Running it at the same time as Nuclear Thunder was a pretty bad idea though.
Do you have to own the vehicle?
Yes.
Stona_WT, Was it to much effort to allow other variants of the same plane in other nations as well?
Very good. We need more historical conent and gameplay in this game. Ground battles as well I wish to see back the Berlin, Normandy, Stalingrad and Kursk events. Make new ones too please
Props for letting us play in Sim mode aswell
The mode returns after 11 years. Could it stay this time? The others too.
GOOOOOOOD one. :) I like such events!
THREE events at the same time? :I
I really love events based on historical facts, and I hope there will be more of them in the future.
Awesome! will we be able to use other variants of the F86 and MiG15 on the American and russian tech trees?
Nope, only the two listed in the news.
