Tusk Force doesn’t just bring new vehicles, it also brings some new effects and detailed cockpits! Today, we’ll be taking a detailed look at some these upcoming improvements.
Detailed Cockpits
We’ve updated the cockpits of two planes and a helicopter. For these screenshots, we’ve turned off the pilot model in cockpit to give a clearer view. Take a look below!
Please note that the Mi-8 and Ka-29 detailed cockpits that were spoken about in the Community Update post still need some more work and won’t be ready in time for Tusk Force, these will come to the game in the future.
Meteor F Mk.8 (all variants)
The Meteor Mk.8 cockpits have been given some extra details throughout.

RAH-66
The RAH-66 cockpit has been fully updated, now with full details.

Fokker G.IA
The Fokker G.IA cockpit has been completely updated, now with full details!

New Fuel Dumping for Several Aircraft
In the previous major update, we introduced the fuel dumping mechanic to just the F-111. We’ve now gone ahead and added this mechanic to a variety of jet aircraft, some of which include the Su-27s, F-14, F-18, Typhoons, Rafale, Tornados, Harriers, and many more. Here’s some cool screenshots!
If you’d like to try, you’ll need to keybind the following: Controls > Aircraft > Fuel dumping.
The Gripen has one nozzle that can be ignited
The F-15 and Su-30SM have two nozzles
Procedural Destruction Of Trees
Before, trees would fall down in their entirety when shot at. We’ve updated the destruction of trees so that they break apart, depending on where you shot them. For example, if you shot the top of a tree, the part above where you hit would be sheered off and the rest of the trunk would remain.
Shooting the lower, medium and top part of a tree
Updated Tank Flame Effects
The fire effect when ammunition cooks off in ground vehicles such as the Leopard and Abrams and the general fire effect of ground vehicles after they are destroyed have been updated! Fire now sways and curls in a constant motion, making it look more realistic.
New Flame Effects
Thicker Rocket & Missile Smoke Trails
Rocket and missile smoke trails have now been made thicker and more apparent with extra details, helping to see where they are while in flight! The flame effect of rocket and missile motors has been made more apparent too.
Updated missile smoke trails
That’s it for today. Tusk Force is almost ready to release now, so stay tuned to the news for announcements!

Graphic effects from Crysis being referenced 18 years later. That game was truly ahead of its time.
still no bomber cockpits
Agree!
I came in here hoping that was the case too..
Hyped! Now give us better ship destruction models! I want to see ships split in 2 lol
there's lots of features of QoL stuff I'd love to see for Naval, this one espeically, but also just better destruction in general, espeiclaly for the PT-boats that have a tendency to get buggy when they're destroyed.
the tree one is actually super cools, could we have that for buildings at some point too
Damn... this is phenomenal work, Gaijin! Lookin' fantastic! Can't wait! 😎👍
Ooo these are all looking super good although I'm really hoping bomber cockpits will get updated as some point they're still really simple, is that on the to-do list?
It's probably low priority since they rely more on the in-game bomb sight in sim, whereas fighters/strike aircraft really need a proper cockpit
Any news on placeholder cockpits?
could we get a fresh cockpit for the Kikka? The current gunsight is just a stick outside the cockpit. Maybe make something semi-historical for QoL?
Uhh yeah new cockpits and more details is always nice
The new effects and trees are outstanding!
