War Thunder background
Dassault Mirage: Warrior of the Middle East

After WW2, the French aircraft industry was in shambles. One of the key people that made it possible for the industry to hit its stride once again was engineer Marcel Bloch. Aircraft made by his company were used by pre-war France and even the Vichy government; after the war, the manufacturer changed its name to Dassault Aviation and supplied the Fourth Republic with the excellent Ouragan jet fighter. Naturally, when the military called for a new lightweight fighter/interceptor, Dassault Aviation was immediately in.
