On April 1st, 1918 the Royal Air Force was founded, and on the same date in 1924 — the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy. Around that time HMS Hermes, the first purpose built aircraft carrier, was commissioned.
Both the Royal Air Force and the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy proved instrumental in 1940, during the Battle for Britain, when they managed to hold against the might of the entire Luftwaffe and prevent invasion by Germany.
From March 30th (13:00 GMT) until April 3rd (7:00 GMT), play 3 battles using British aircraft (rank III or higher, with an activity of not less than 70%) to receive the “Royal Air Force Day" decal.
Complete the task in random battles, except for Enduring Confrontation missions and [Assault] mode. Track your progress in the hangar by clicking Nickname → Achievements → Holidays → Royal Air Force Day.

Typhoon Mk.Ib temporarily on sale
To commemorate this day, the Typhoon Mk.Ib from the British research tree will be available for purchase with during the event. It is a Rank III fighter aircraft equipped with four 20mm Hispano Mk II cannons and capable of carrying two 1000 lb bombs or eight RP-3 rockets, making it a great asset in dealing with ground vehicles.

This Bird was absolutely amazing at its BR. Climbing at 15 Degrees into the Sky and then Boom and Zoom or Hunting Bombers. Even in Ground Attack it was a good Choice with 2x1000 LBS Bombs. I Loved it
The tech tree version has a stronger engine and at 1950 GE it has worse reward modifiers than other premiums at this BR which are also cheaper
would've been nice if a similar treatment or (i guess) a better treatment was given to italy for its 100 years of the Airforce :) but nop that's gaijin. italy's worth nothing
You wat? There was an article for 100 years of Italian AF. With exclusive camouflage (something that happen once per... I cannot remember last time with such award). Maybe next time check at lest last few article before you create comment like that.

Typhoon Mk Ib is at 1930 GE. IMO, too much for a Tier 3 plane.

First of all: neat-o. I love all the little minor holidays and observances you guys do! Hey @Stona_WT: May I make a small suggestion: Please consider reducing the GE cost from 1950GE, down to 1918GE. "Why?" you might ask? Because the British RAF was founded in 1918! It would be a tiny fraction of a cost reduction, in exchange for meme-magical numerical perfection! Please pass this idea along to your superiors!
Ah yes - a new aircraft to fly where you can go into match and out of 15 players - be the only one who has any intention of engaging the enemy - love it.
