The Italian Royal Army founded its air arm back in 1884, when it decided to use aerostats for military purposes. But a separate Air Force was founded on March 28th, 1923 — precisely 100 years ago. In the 1930s it participated in military operations in Ethiopia and Spain, in the 1940s it fought in WWII as a part of Axis powers (and then partially for Allies), and in 1990 it took part in the Gulf War in an international coalition.
From March 28th (14:00 GMT) until March 31st (07:00 GMT), play 3 battles using Italian aircraft (rank III or higher, with an activity of not less than 70%) to receive the “100th Anniversary of the Italian Air Force” decal.
Complete the task in random battles, except for Enduring Confrontation missions and [Assault] mode. Track your progress in the hangar by clicking Nickname → Achievements → Holidays → 100th Anniversary of the Italian Air Force.
You can find the decal in the “Holidays” tab in the Customisation menu.
C. 205 serie 3 anniversary camouflage
As a part of the celebrations we’ve added an anniversary camouflage for C. 205 serie 3 — with a golden eagle, an Italian flag and a number commemorating the anniversary. To receive the camouflage, complete the following task.
Win 5 battles in Italian aircraft (rank III or higher, with activity of not less than 70%) and receive the “100th Anniversary of the Italian Air Force” camouflage for C. 205 serie 3.
