The modern Japanese Type 16 (FPS) wheeled tank destroyer was developed in the early 2000s to increase the operational mobility of the Japan Self-Defense Forces. Since 2016, the Type 16 (FPS) has been put into service. Type 16 (FPS) is capable of reaching a maximum speed of up to 100 km/h. It is armed with a 105 mm gun with a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun, and it is also equipped with a 12.7 mm AA machine gun. The ammunition is represented by the HEATFS, HESH, smoke shells and APFSDS with an up to 350 mm armor penetration. Additionally, the Type 16 (FPS) is equipped with smoke grenade launchers, a night vision device for the driver and a thermal imager for the gunner and the commander.

So this is the japanese version of the premium stryker... will there be any juicy devblog today?
Can’t wait to play the Type 16 Frames Per Second!
Type 16 First Person Perspective!
Is it really necessary? There are other nations (UK and France) that have no high tier IFV or light/recon vehicle, while they have like milion options to add.
The Rooikat MTTD is almost the same exact thing though.
What does this have to do with japan
Oh no! Gaijin added a Type 16 with some interesting cosmetical changes as the premium instead of something unique! Now the unique vehicles will be added as part of the tech tree for every player to access! How could they do this to us! /s Please just ignore the complaints, this is exactly what a premium should be.
legend says it boosts your fps when using it...
camo not on the hulll... where???
It really should be 9.0 with the Type 93 ammo considering the other premiums, plus an ideal lineup would be with the production type 16
Why not the Type 90 prototype?! this will make Japan more competitive
