First work-in-progress images of the new locations from the upcoming War Thunder update!
“Pyrenees”
The new location for air battles “Pyrenees” invites you to the mountainous area of the Principality of Andorra. Small villages with farm fields are spread upon valleys, ancient castles and medieval abbeys compete for the most picturesque view of the surroundings, and the clear water of the mountain lakes sparkle bright in the green hued highlands. Visit the "Pyrenees" in your combat aircraft, it's so beautiful here! In arcade battles, the mission [Ground Strike] “Mountain Valleys” is available for this location.
Winter “Seversk-13”
The winter version of one of the most mysterious locations in War Thunder. Russian winter has come to the abandoned town, but the air raid warning is still heard, disturbing news about the missing people can still be heard on the police wave and military convoys still block the town.
Snowy “Ardennes”
Another winter version of a location beloved by the players, “Ardennes”. Fields covered with snow, white caps appeared on the straw stacks and roofs of the unfortunate town that turned out to be on the path of a desperate German counteroffensive.
“Maginot Line” in winter
The fields of the Maginot Line also welcome winter. The green grassy hills, concrete pillboxes and idyllic hamlets of northeast France are now covered with early fluffy snow. Paint your tanks white, and be ready to battle!

Comments will be premoderatedMy issue with the maps at the moment is not with either appearance or necessarily their design, but the removal of tiered maps. I enjoy Poland & Winter Poland, as I probably will Winter Ardennes, but neither map is suitable for anything above Rank IV ( 6.0 - 7.0 ). I'm glad white rock fortress seems to have disappeared when I play my chieftain, but the map is fun when playing tanks like the T-34 (Russia) or the Chaffee. Why give [Domination] Poland to a Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. C and a Leopard 2A4
Honestly, I enjoy some of the winter maps. They add some spice to things and feel a bit more immersive with WW2 tanks. Just wish there was more variety in map design, like more tropical maps. We only got Vietnam and Jungle. It would also be nice to see more historical locations rather than just a general area. Like instead of "Middle East" we could have "Afghanistan" or "Falliujah" or "73 Easting". Or maybe instead of "Jungle" we have "Okinawa" and "Iwo Jima".
Why are there leaves in winter
Great, we will have some fresh air for some older maps but i would like to see the creativity of the map devs, coming up with interresting map ideas that would be both, nice to look at, and to play but than again gotta wait to see if in the next patch we will have something interesting coming out of them.
People are complaining about the winter maps but is no one hyped about the castle map? Like, that feels like Shilage castle, awesome dogfights are to be had over royalty, that looks so cool.
Can we please have more BAN/Like/Dislikes since we are getting so many maps now?
All these double variants of these maps, and yet you could only ban either the Normal, or the Winter of the same map. Not both.
These look pretty..and I'm excited for the Spanish mountain map; but can we go back to limiting the higher tiers to longer range maps? Knife fights in MBTs is like playing CoD, it's more luck than skill...and being shot in your spawn from their spawn doesn't leave you thinking: "This was a good experience. I liked that."
why can you still only ban one map? you have so many terribly design maps in ground rb. they are so bad
I don't really dislike that 3 of them are reskins, because they're more or less ok maps, overall. But, God I hope the new one isn't just some spawn-to-spawn sniping / open-field turkey shoot with little to no cover, especially from CAS.
