On October 13th, 1775, at the very beginning of the American Revolutionary War, the Continental Congress passed a resolution to create a Navy whose goal was to attack British ships near the American coastline. This first fleet was disbanded after the war, but the date remained in history, and now, while the US Navy is the largest in the entire world, it celebrates its birthday on October 13th.
From October 13th (12:00 GMT) until October 17th (07:00 GMT), play 3 battles using US navy (rank III or higher, with an activity of not less than 70%) to receive the “Famous Ships: USS Constitution” decal.
Complete the task in random battles, except for Enduring Confrontation missions and [Assault] mode. Track your progress in the hangar by clicking Nickname → Achievements → Holidays → US Navy Birthday.
You can find the decal in the “Holidays” tab in the Customisation menu.
During the event the USS Cowell destroyer will be available for purchase for Golden Eagles.

Comments will be premoderatedI don't know if I'd consider the chance to purchase a vehicle and earn 1 decal an event. These events used to give cool rewards, for unity day, tankers day, birthdays we used to get vehicles or other neat collectibles. I can list all the nice vehicles I've gotten from them. Bring those back once in a while, I think the community would appreciate a quick 3 day event for something small.
Few days ago we had an event where you could get 4 unique vehicles.
I will be honest, considering dev blog season is starting why didn't yall post this earlier so an actual dev blog can be posted?
I am confused, how does posting this post prevent them from posting a devblog later on?
Hunting_Fox, You are not the only one here :)

Gaijin this isn't really an event. 1 decal?
This is special dedicated to US Navy. One of many special events we have every few weeks.
Could we see the USS Slater added at some point? I feel like this year would be nice for it considering it's the 25th year of her being a museum ship
french navy? :')
I am pretty sure USS Cowell was a US Navy ship.
Nice! Thank you, Gaijin!
