The day of the founding of an entire country! Every year Australians celebrate January 26th in a big way - and we wouldn’t mind joining in the celebration, giving out festive decals to deserving “Australians”, bringing back interesting vehicles for sale and sharing some equally interesting news. All in all - happy Australia Day!
Until 11:00 GMT on the 28th of January
Play 3 battles in the British aircraft (of rank II or higher with a battle activity of 70% or higher) and get a unique “Australia Day” decal.
- You can complete the task in random battles, except “Assault” and “Enduring Confrontation”.
- You can follow your progress by clicking on your nickname -> Achievements -> Australia Day.
- The decal will be located in the “Other” tab in the customization area.
Temporarily on sale - Boomerang Mk.II
Get a premium Boomerang Mk.II until 11:00 GMT on the 28th of January for Golden Eagles. You will find the aircraft in the British aviation tree. The aircraft is only available to owners of the Boomerang Mk.I that can be purchased with 25% discount!
This is interesting! We received photographic evidence of bombs on the Boomerang Mk.II and we are considering having them in one of the future game updates. Your vehicles may become more interesting!

Lots of love for the Boomerangs, but how much does it take for the Beaufighter to get it's bomb racks? There's loads of photos out there, plus first hand accounts of the tactics used and info on BAE's website.
Still waiting for the wing bomb racks on the Hs 129 B-2 of which there are plenty of "photographic evidence of bombs"....Look here: https://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/229455-hs-129-missing-weapons-and-bombs
hi, aussie here! Small error in the post - "The day of the founding of an entire country!" isn't correct, as Australia became a country on the 1st of January 1901.
Yeah ok bud, we've also never really used the 1st to celebrate the founding either, it's always been the 26th. So it ain't wrong since we use the 26th to celebrate the founding on the 1st. Most likely due to being too hungover on new year's Day.
What the heck type of sales pitch is that, you add the mk.2 boomerang back and then go "oh yeah we might add bombs to it, it may become more interesting" Its locked behind the mk.1 you have to buy first thats a measly 25% off and you are encouraging people to buy the mk.2 by suggesting it may get bombs in the future It either is getting new bombs in the future or it doesn't, don't entice people to buy it by saying such a thing unless gaijin is commited to adding it
You planning on fixing the flight model? You nerfed it and gave the pre-nerf FM to the I-180S. It's borderline unplayable with how much of a brick it is now
Bombs on the Boomerang Mk.II? Hell yeah!
Awesome!

I played a match with my british 3.3 lineup which had all the required tiers for the challenge and lost the game with a 91% Battle activity but i still didn't get any progress for my challenge. I played 3 Australian vechiles and finished on the Australian Beaufighter so is that the reason it didn't count?
Can i use Australian planes for the challenge or does it have to be british planes?
Any aircraft in British tech tree.
Everyone I know will now Salute Australia. This is tough to do because we're standing on our heads, of course...
This in answer to our absent Squadmate, INSANITY, who is presently taking a break from War Thunder.
JustWill, He was our only Australian player in V1PER.
