We are happy to inform you that in one of the future War Thunder updates a new playable nation will appear - Israel! Despite its youth, the Israeli armed forces are rightfully considered one of the most combat-ready armies in the world, and Israel's military forces are an interesting alloy of foreign vehicles with advanced domestic machines.
In the upcoming War Thunder update "Ground Breaking", two premium aircraft from the early access packs will be added to the Israeli aviation lineup. The owners of the packs will be the first to get access to the closed beta testing of the aviation tech tree of the new playable nation, that will begin in the next major update after the upcoming “Ground Breaking” update. Prior to Israeli aviation CBT, early access pack owners will be able to participate in aircraft random battles and prepare their crews!
Spitfire LF Mk IXe by Ezer Weizman
One of the most successful modifications of the legendary Spitfire in the livery of the personal aircraft of Ezer Weizman, a RAF veteran pilot, who later became the commander of the Israeli Air Force, and subsequently became the president of the nation!
In addition to the perfect maneuverability and excellent speed at low and medium altitudes, this aircraft carries 8 cm Flz.-Rakete Oerlikon rockets, unique to the game, with a shaped-charged warhead and an armor penetration value up to 300mm.
A-4E Skyhawk (Late)
A late Israeli modification of one of the best strike aircraft in the game! The aircraft features a new armament of 2х30mm DEFA guns, a parachute, and an elongated tail. The premium Skyhawk carries a large payload of various suspended weapons - bombs up to 2,000 pounds, Zuni and Mighty Mouse rockets, gun pods, and the AGM-62 Walleye guided bombs
A wonderful strike aircraft and the best choice to accelerate the research of high-ranking Israeli aviation!

Unlike all other game nations, Israeli tech tree won't start from Rank 1. We will share more details in future.
Is this a prank? there's going to be even less original vehicles than China
A literal copy paste tree ahahah
All answers (6)DaBlitz_633, No, unlike china Israel actually modified the vehicles they had.
There is no requirement to use specific tech tree. You can completely skip it and still you will have more unique enemies in battles (they used a lot of heavily modified aircraft) which is IMHO nice.
All answers (28)Stona_WT, and what will you do with the izraelian vehicles what we already have in USA, UK and French tech tree? you will will move them to tha same tech tree or just hide them and sell them again in the "new" tech tree?
Gaijin can't help but keep making bigger and bigger mistakes I see...
wgy?? as an israeli om extatic to see this!
All answers (27)ofekk213, what was Israel's contribution in ww2?
Interesting, but i have an idea, why not make another factions by regions of the continent, like North America - Central America - South America - Eeastern europe - Western Europe - North Africa - South Africa - and so on, it would get a lots of vehicles that can fill lots of BRs and be diverse, dont care for much realism the game in its 3 modes (AB ,RB, SB) get nations and vehicles scrambled without much historical acuracy already. What u think SK?
All answers (2)Madruga_West, That would be an effective way of filling out a tree. Sort of reminds me of this other game I play on occasion.. They put all of these playable items from different nations into one "commonwealth" tech tree. Thus eliminating poorly-filled trees, or trees with several extremely poor performing items. It would make a lot of sense to create more "full" tech trees using several similar or allied nations into one place, then consider splitting those nations off into seperate trees later.
YES! This is great!
no
The best news I've heard all day. I am so happy, its immeasurable.
All answers (3)Dozer15, Hooray very nice update, a new nation! But are we getting a Dutch/Benelux Techtree as well yes or no?
why? we didn't need a new nation we needed the current ones filled. this is such a waste even more so for the people who grinded the event Merkava's you could have added Israeli vehicles to nato nations like france, UK,, AND, USA but noo...
Even worse: all those people who bought these merkavas for 100-150$ each will get an instant dramatic loss of value. Thats easily 400$(!) in the dumpster for Merkava fans who bought all of them because they thought the events/market would be the only way to obtain those unique tanks.
All answers (9)ColdHeat, cry about it
yes
H3nry207, and I did not mean to reply to that comment
is this an out of season April's Fools prank?
no unfortunatly not
You think it makes more sense to add Israeli premiums to at least 4 other tech trees?
All answers (3)The_Real_Damian, Can't wait for them to add a couple dozens American and soviet vehicles just like what they did with China, it sure seems like a great idea ! :)
Please tell me this is a joke. I can't believe it. Wasted opportunity to fill up minor trees that have BR gaps.
Imagine going back to fix broken or missing stuff, can't be gaijin
Erich_Mohrmann, This is the way they do it. Sweden, China, Italy... always releasing the first premium sets before they add more. This way they get a quick boost of revenue from the premium buyers. Then when we do tanks a few months later, premiums will be the first add. It is an effective means of generating fresh revenue streams. In general they do have to keep finding new ways to make revenue.
Tired of waiting for competitive vehicles in the tech tree you spent precious time grinding? No worries! We will make you grind a whole new tech tree now to get them!
All answers (1)Ziggy1989, you do know they aren't forcing you to grind it right?
you must be joking....
i think they are not.. ANYWAYS! support M60T for USA M60 line! M60T is designed and produced by IMI(israel)! M60T is best M60 on battlefield! i hope M60T will come to M60 line in near future!! support WT forum topic!!
" you must be joking " mmm ... I don't think it's a joke, kind Lord, Gaijin is a decent company and I appreciate it very much because I know a few of its employees. Another thing is definitely a joke: the lack of a Polish technology tree. If the Israeli one appeared, the Polish one will probably appear as well. Regards.
