Seeing all these dozerblades and the ideas other players have for the implementation of this mechanic to various nations I would just like to submit the idea that maybe the Leopard 2A5 could get a PSO modification as part of its available modifications, which would equip it to the specifications of the Leopard 2 PSO demonstrator. Please don't hate me for suggesting something for the German tech tree. -_-
So, I drop three 1000lb bombs in front of my own ground forces, and I make three depressions they can hull-down inside of? This could be a new tactic even in the short dirty fights in SRB.
STRV103B dozer
Having spent years at the national training center where we had defenses built each month, I will say this is nice, but there needs to be a bit more work involved, and dirt itself doesn't make for much of a barrier. Also, the craters/mounds I'm betting will kill FPS. It typically took about 15 minutes for an AVE to dig a tank position, which hid the tank from turret down. Also, ALL tanks can typically pivot steer in position, and gain a few degrees more depression by the whole they make.
The new bomb craters. A tiny cut in the video, but where the sand is actually moved to create a proper crater, with reasonable depth. Now, that's what I find interesting in this mechanic.
There is some limits for terrain scoop?
