The British made their first foray into the world of bombers in World War 1, but there wasn’t much progress in that field during the interwar period. Despite that, by the early 1930s there were two distinct bomber forces available to the British — bombers of the Fleet Air Arm, eventually under the direct control of the Admiralty… and the forces of the RAF Bomber Command. After the Nazis seized power, Germany’s ever increasing air capabilities prompted the British to respond in kind by supercharging their efforts to have a strong bombing arm.

Shame that so many of these are almost unplayable due to their BR and Repair Csost, expecially when compared to their German counterparts. also no mention of the Mosquito bomber variants which would make a great addition to WarThunder.
Lots of slip-ups in historical accuracy in this video (right from the start; during the interwar period Britain made plenty of progress, for instance introducing the Boulton & Paul Overstrand with the world's first enclosed powered turret), but rather than whining about them at length I'll just say one thing: can we please get the Armstrong Whitworth Whitley in game?
Any news on British bomb payloads being fixed? This is a massive issue that is undermining the effectiveness of all late war and postwar bombers that are featured in this video. British bombers in game, including post-war jets, use early WW2 General Purpose bombs that were phased out in early WW2 in favour of more potent Medium Capacity bombs. The lack of the correct payloads means British bombers have much lower effectiveness in game in comparison to other nations bomber aircraft. Gaijin pls!
You can always make a bug report on any bombs that you believe are 'missing'. I would however also advise(as some of these have been reported before) that some of the larger bombs carried were never actually 'authorised' to be carried. They overloaded the airframes and required significant modifications. I am sure you are aware of the life expectancy of both aircrews and airframes for Bomber Command was quite low. :)
That is great. Would be even better if bombers and attackers were even remotely useful in air RB. But the solution to this problem already exists, its called RB Enduring Confrontation. Think about it again guys, please.
No offence or anything, but the Dam Busters dropped specialized "bouncing bombs" that were basically just 4000 lb. bombs spun on their sides. A pressure reader activated them at a depth of 20-40 ft. down. You guys really should add them for user missions. they bounced over the water and into the side of the dam and sunk.
Quite a bit bigger actually, 9,250lb. And with a much thicker casing than the 4,000lb HC; if you tried to bounce a "cookie" off water from 60ft it would just split open. And yes, I also would like that user mission.
I can't say much about the retirement of the Avro Shackleton but I do remember seeing one on the ramp of Sembach Air Base, Germany in late 1990. I don't know why it might have been there on the transient aircraft ramp if it wasn't still operational but maybe it was doing a farewell tour or being entered into the Battle of Britain Flight (I know it was too young to serve in the Battle of Britain, just throwing out possibilities). Didn't get a chance to ask as we were prepping to fly.
Shackletons (although possibly not the exact mark that's in game; AEW.2s rather than MR.2s) were operational until 1991 (when they were replaced by Boeing E-3D Sentry "AWACS"), providing airborne radar coverage of the North Sea to watch for Russian bombers. Not sure what one would have been doing in Pfalz though!
