The “Red Skies” update is almost here! While the development team is finishing work on the update, we are describing another useful game mechanic coming to War Thunder tank battles in the upcoming “Red Skies” release.
Now light tanks and squadmates can help extinguish fires. The new mechanic works in a similar way as repair assistance: you need to drive up to a burning vehicle, wait for the indicator of assistance for firefighting, and after holding the help button, the ally will stop burning. In this case, one kit of fire-fighting equipment on the helper tank will be depleted.
The new mechanic works for burning tanks that are not able to extinguish the fire on their own - the FPE kit has run out or has not yet been installed. The firefighting assistance function makes light tanks even more useful on the battlefield, as well as improving the survivability of allies in a squad.

show the low tiers already. Don't tell me this update won't have any.
Much realism...
I have wanted this ability for so long!!!! It never made sense to me why it wasn't a game mechanic from the start. Great addition to the game!!! I just wish it didn't penalize people for trying to help. Maybe make it so that you can only help put out a teammate's fire once per game, but it doesn't cost you an FPE charge?
10/10 this is the thing the real community wants. Things like these deserve appreciation. If you keep adding things like this the community will love you. do not do stupid stuff like adding missiles & top tier MBTs etc just keep the game old &simple community will love you Honestly this deserves appreciatoion.
This is the best change I've seen in this game in 1 year. Good job! And now - FREE APFSDS for all. :)
The question is how many players will want to spend one FPE for a teammate.
HOLY CRAP, FINALLY
GAIJIN, CAN YOU PLEASE MAKE FPE REPLENISHABLE AT CAP POINTS?
Finally. I do not have to watch mates burn to death, after the threat was dealt with.
This is great, but it makes the need for specific shout outs (like the "attack the A point" ones) even more glaring. We desperately need the "need FPE" and "need a repair" shout outs. And whilst you guys are at it, why not add the "I need a tow!" one!
This is great, but better rewards for scouting would make he light tanks even better and more useful! as of now i feel like i'm actively playing when i scout enemies, without getting really good results because of it.
