In this digest we would like to tell you about our continuing work on improvements and fixes in the game. You can find information about all updates that have been released in War Thunder on the website special section.
Cancelling entry into a battle
Did you ever find a thousand good reasons to cancel from a ‘queue for battle’ search and to instead remain in the hangar after clicking the “Battle” button but clicking on the “Cancel” button didn’t work and instead put you in a battle?
Let us not go into the peculiarities of session selection and instead just let you know that we have worked on this mechanic. Now, if the game session hasn’t been compiled, you will be able to leave the queue and you will not enter a battle after hitting the cancel button.
Tails and machine guns
Engineers working on an aircraft’s offensive weaponry regularly faced a difficult task - how to avoid the parts of their own aircraft being hit by gunners. In the heat of the battle it was more than possible that a careless gunner might easily sever the tail or create extra ventilation in the aircraft’s surfaces.
When recreating aircraft in War Thunder we take into account the characteristics of such restraints. This time we have clarified the no-firing sectors for vehicles with an overhead turret. The machine guns of such aircraft will no longer “somehow strangely” bend around the tail and the gunner will be able to fire much more confidently.
Power steering
The engine of your ground vehicle can be switched off. Such an insignificant feature is very useful in combined realistic battles where players can be guided among other things by their own ears. But a muffled (or broken!) engine on wheeled vehicles somehow stopped the rotation of the steering.
Very strange… Incomprehensible… But fixed! Now the strength of the driver will be enough to turn the wheels without the aid of power steering and in case of opening up your tactical position you will be able to depart quickly in the direction you want to go.
Getting ready for “Red Skies”
A major update is on the way. With new maps, game mechanic improvements and other features. Therefore the sixth digest includes mostly what the “It’s fixed” was designed for - fixing bugs!
Even before our update, we have paid attention to such improvements and want to invite you to check out the many fixes in Naval Force, aircraft and ground vehicles! These fixes will improve your game experience.
Once again, many thanks for all your bug reports that you submitted in our bug report section on the War Thunder forums.

Please dont let this Series down! Its so damn nice to see and feel that you are caring about your Game instead if "hide" Patchnotes etc. where nobody really look. To put this on the Front page is a big step and shows that you working on fixing Stuff beside pushing new Tanks, Planes etc out to the Community :) Kudos to you Snail. Im looking forward for "It’s fixed! №675" in the future ;) Keep it up please :>
Supported!! Please, some bugs like the "Cancel" Button and "Skip destroy replay during write a chat" was boring since the game has launched! Thanks you everyone!!
Jaroczewski, It doesnt matter if they fix "normal" bugs such corrections for Plane XY or make a Change for the reloard of Tank XY - the point is: WE SEE THEY FIXING STUFF! They promote it on the FRONT PAGE instead of hiding it in the Menupoint Game>Changelog where nearly nobody clicks and looks into. And we see that Gaijin CARES, no matter how. We SEE they Changeing and Repair Stuff. And THIS is the Point why they should keep it up and get rid of the Community stamp: "They dont care".
Why would you fix the cancel button? Please revert it back! I was using it to get into a battle instantly. Sometimes I was distracted and without noticing I was waiting in the queue for 2-3-4 minutes but once I remembered there was a famous Cancel button and pressing it would've get me in a battle in blink of an eye. So please revert it back!
Looks like it was a bug, not a feature :P
Stona_WT, When the cancel button works better than the battle button
Hullaiming next? Please!
if they do this, they increasing battle performance of strv103, so they should increase its BR.... please bring "dynamic BR affected by modification" also... please add M60T, you added TAM 2IP right? M60T and TAM 2IP have similar turret design, both armor is israeli.... and USA dont has tier 7 M60 in M60 line..... please look WT forum topic about M60T, vote and comment...
modern_primat, nah... it would finally justify the current BR, armor means nothing, especially in the 103C since at 8.3 darts don't care about the angeling.
It has been 84 years to fix that. And only after Enlisted fixed it lol.
Yeah 3rd time I post this: pls check the Bf109F(onwards) 's skin. It's cockpit is 'left side right'
Please make a bug report on the official forums and we will be able to investigate further.
Aw, gone are the days of waiting in the queue, only to think of a reason to back out and cancel, only to instantly find a game, ultimately forgetting the reason you even wanted to leave the queue, until the next time you're in the queue.
Good to know, wish the fps stutter can be fixed. Tried almost all the methods...
Disable hardware acceleration in Chrome browser or close it completely from the system tray while playing
"Let us not go into the peculiarities of session selection" Disagree.
Please fix the NVG/Thermals flickering in tanks.. such a frustrating bug
This might be an obscure request to most, but would you consider moving the French DB-7 bomber from the British tree into the French tree?
