80 years ago, from June until October of 1940, probably the most famous aerial battles in history took place known as the Battle of Britain. The Royal Air Force claimed victory in the skies, holding back the German Luftwaffe and preventing a naval invasion by denying air superiority over the Luftwaffe. Months of huge aerial engagements, intense dogfighting and fierce clashes forever sealed the event as a significant chapter in the second world war.
Brave contributions from all over the world, including most famously Polish and Czech pilots joined the fight to take on an overwhelming force that had swept through most of Europe and surrounded Great Britain. Pilots fought relentlessly, often without much rest between battles, with the fate of Britain sitting almost entirely on their shoulders. This event forever immortalized by Winston Churchill’s famous words describing those that took part with “never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few”.
Today, we mark this historic 80 year anniversary in War Thunder

I always love these Battle of Britain events and such. Good work Gaijin
Shame the event couldn't have gone on for a little longer.
Shame the event couldn't have gone on for a little longer.
Great event except that you should have made it possible to get hurricane by playing germans and italians or at least germans as well as now people in the event only play GB almost
Your fault for playing other countries. You know Britain gets bullied by gaijin.
Can you point me the place, where we said you need to play British aircraft to get Hurricane?
This is really great. Thanks! The Battle of Britain event is perhaps my favorite in WT. And the Hurricane is really cool
Nice little gift, thanks
Would be nice if Germany got something in this event, after all Germany was one of the two main participants.
Well they lost. Germany already has enough.
This is a really easy mission, thanks for that... But I really feel that it could've been a "Special Skin" for the normal Hurricane I/L instead of a premium plane.
What's the difference between Boomerang I en Boomerang II?
wHy Do yOu OnLy MaKe EvEnTs FoR rUsSiA !?
Britain is some city in Russia? Your comment is dumb you know that....?
