80 years ago, from June until October of 1940, probably the most famous aerial battles in history took place known as the Battle of Britain. The Royal Air Force claimed victory in the skies, holding back the German Luftwaffe and preventing a naval invasion by denying air superiority over the Luftwaffe. Months of huge aerial engagements, intense dogfighting and fierce clashes forever sealed the event as a significant chapter in the second world war.
Brave contributions from all over the world, including most famously Polish and Czech pilots joined the fight to take on an overwhelming force that had swept through most of Europe and surrounded Great Britain. Pilots fought relentlessly, often without much rest between battles, with the fate of Britain sitting almost entirely on their shoulders. This event forever immortalized by Winston Churchill’s famous words describing those that took part with “never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few”.
Today, we mark this historic 80 year anniversary in War Thunder

Ok guys, I see there is some confusion here for Hurricane tasks. You DO NOT NEED to use British aircraft to get it. You need to use ANY aircraft from ANY nation from rank +II to get it.
Oops! It would have been easier that way yesterday! Well I managed to do it anyway, so thank you! :)
Thanks for the clarification.
This is actually really well done, nice work gaijin!
This is, in fact, awesome.
Already Grinded the Hurricane, I found it to be quite good for its br. Not a spit but.... Still good

"I say again, 2-3-0!"
Epic. Thank you Gaijin.
What a nice surprise. Love the Hurricane. Will enjoy working towards it. Awesome job Gaijin!
So nice to see this good old events appearing again after such a long time, hope we can see more of them in the future
Now we just need floats back! Without the BV238 would be especially nice (I know, I love it too but it really ruined this event) and we even have a lot more floaty planes now too!
Love to see you are finally adding these packs in some form to console though it's not without criticism as the price is much higher on console compared to PC. Actually a $20 increase when compared after converting the amount of GE required from packs to purchase all three it works out to be about $57 compared to the PC price of $37.49. C'mon Gaijin please make the pricing fair across all platforms!
Oh nice I’ll take a free premium plane anytime
Flood the cowling, plenty of it!
Over the wings.
