The Bane of Tanks
Attention! Outdated news format. Content may not display correctly.
Attack aircraft play a vital role in almost any kind of engagement… and when piloted by an experienced pilot, a strike aircraft is a true paragon of close air support. Everybody likes to blow up tanks, right?
Today we’ll be talking about the most fearsome attack aircraft — the ones that have so much firepower that tankers should scatter and hide right at their first sight...

What was the thought process behind this one? "Majority of the community hates CAS with passion, let's rub it in their faces!"
Majority of people in comment section think their opinion is the majority. It’s part of the game why would they not make a video of it? I like playing AA and I like playing CAS.
literarly the favorite thing of mine is to do CAS.
Screw CAS, its overpowered and Gaijin knows it esp with the P-47 and Skyraider. When are we getting ground only mode, this video just adds salt to the wound.
Exactly......if i play tanks, i wanna fight tanks, not planes.
Albannaich_01, Learn to play or uninstall and go play WorldofTrash.
I myself really like CAS, it is interesting and realistic. The mixed battles are great, and many thanks Gaijin for the hard work to keep improving this game.
The tank players you kill may think otherwise. CAS is cancer.
I suggest you do at least a little bit of research about the actual effectiveness of CAS, in particular in the 2nd World War, before you claim the game would depict CAS in a somewhat realistic way...
It would be nice to have some tank only maps.......
It's already here: it's called arcade
time for some dev blogs soon
Exactly the reason why I spawn a dedicated fighter and farm. Please, spawn more CAS.
That's not the bane of tanks. The br compression is.
CAS, Coastal Sea Action, and Land Conflict between ground forces are what make this a war game, if not quite a Mil-Sim. War Thunder started with Aircraft, not tanks, and added land and sea forces later, expanding the warfare into all arenas and further topping out the garbage from WorldofJunk gaming. WT players are not here to play MarioCarts-in-Olive-drab, and if that is your style, uninstall. We have nothing for you here, and will not support such. Oh, and my personal favorite is A-36.
It would be nice if the Soviet tree could have something above BR 5.0 to conduct CAS at higher BRs don't you think Gaijin ? Don't you think that planes such as IL-40 , IL-102, Su-25s , Su-17s and missiles equivalent to Bullpups such as Kh-23 are long time overdue for one of the nations that pioneered the development of air to ground missiles ? I don't think i'm asking for much here , just something to remotely keep Soviets competitive with other big nations you know .......
One of my favourites are the Me 410 A1/B1. When you dropped the two 500kg bombs, it still have an fantastic armamant both forwardfacing, and backwards. Also it is quite manuverable for beeing a twin-engine strikefighter.
