It's going to be a M13/40 version. In-game name is M13/40 (II). The M13/40 (I) and (III) are reserve tanks and the (II) is in the files as well.
Italian ground forces will have a rank I premium at some stage like all other nations yes.

Does the M60A1 Ariete get stabiliser or was it a bug in the dev servers? It's just called M60A1 not M60A1 AOS
it should get it, italians gave it a stabilizer but they didn't bothere to give a name to this new version
