Why does APCR and APDS have (in game) SO MUCH worse spalling characteristics than that of APFSDS?
I think it has something to do with the velocities involved. The higher the impact velocity, the higher the kinetic damage.
The743rdTankBat, Yes, that is very correct. The problem in game is that if You take APDS and APFSDS, of the same mass, velocity and core caliber, APFSDS still is going to make more damage, at some situation even few times more. And that is completely off any realism.
I've been waiting for this video for 4 years!
Me too lol. Took them long enough. Better late than never I suppose.
First of all, You forgot to mention that most of the post penetration effects is not related to realistic events, just was made up by devs to balance the game. Second, it's at least misinformation that APFSDS are on the same line as APCR and APDS, postpen-wise. They are not, they are few times better in generating damage, without any realistic reason, other that to make them "look better" than other shells. And lastly - please stop spraying "filler" myth all over the place. APHE is NOT grenade
APDSFS the cringe is so hard
The costs for non stock APFSDS are pretty hard too....
"Starting with Metal Slugs" Huh I didn't know that slugs where metal Bruce, Thanks for enlightening me!
You forgot about the shotgun Wax Slugs...
metal slug is a great game
Good job! This video will help new players am sure of it, and it will make them know what shells they should take in battle.
Shame it is not accurate about ammo storage.
let them learn by themeselves
Sorry Bruce mate but you should have told them that after pen effect of APDS & HESH are very random and the real effect is lowered by developers to the limit that you need to kill enemy crew one by one ... in the mean time and in a game depicting realism there is no psychological effect to shells penetrating tanks, where a gunner who has his loader and commander shredded to death 20 cm away from him is ready to turn his turret and shoot the enemy back in half a second !!!!
''ONLY 20 SHELLS AND YOUR AMMO WILL ONLY BE STORED IN THE SAFEST PLACE'' Tell that to Tiger II players
yeah. there is no ammo in the turret gaijiin! it was emergency escape hatch in the back of the turret!! no room for ammorec!!!!
heroberst, Actually germans were storing ammo in tiger 2's back of turret. BUT they learner that it leaded to many fatal casualties which could be avoided / damage reduced, so they moved away from storing ammo in turret.
what about shrapnel shells, like those found on Russian tanks?
