During the last Operation S.U.M.M.E.R. event, we decided to experiment with new mission requirements which appealed to some, however there were players that wanted to see the summer marathon in the usual format. We will take all your feedback into account when preparing similar specials in the future, but we also want to ensure that this Summer leaves only good memories for all our players so we decided to launch another special with the good old terms! So here goes  “Good Old S.U.M.M.E.R.”! Everything familiar and simple: complete the tasks or purchase the “Marks of distinction” without additional conditions and get prizes!

This time the grand reward of the event will be the American FJ-4B VMF 232 jet fighter with a new type of weaponry for War Thunder - guided air to ground missiles. As well as this, you can expect many other prizes: The British Martlet Mk IV, unique camouflages and decals!

Tankers will not be forgotten either, but another 20 days of marathon might be way too much, that’s why you will need to complete just 2 days of tasks from 22 to get a small, but unique prize - the Sd.Kfz. 234/3 armoured vehicle.

From 17th of August 11:00 GMT till 07:30 GMT on the 6th of September - complete the tasks and immediately get the rewards!

Rewards for pilots:

• 2 marks of distinction — a random roundel decal from a range of Air Forces.
• 4 marks of distinction — a random roundel decal from a range of Air Forces.
• 5 marks of distinction — a Coupon for the Martlet Mk IV (rank II, Britain, premium).
• 6 marks of distinction — Coupon for a special camouflage for the Martlet Mk IV plus a random roundel decal from a range of Air Forces.
• 8 marks of distinction — a random roundel decal from a range of Air Forces.
• 9 marks of distinction — Coupon for FJ-4B VMF 232 (rank V, USA, non premium gift aircraft) fighter with guided air to ground missiles.
• 10 marks of distinction — Coupon for a special camouflage for the FJ-4B VMF 232 and coupon for a random roundel decal from a range of Air Forces.

Rewards for tankers:

• 2 marks of distinction — Coupon for a random decal (Emblem of the armoured troops)
• 2 marks of distinction — Sd.Kfz. 234/3 coupon
• 3 marks of distinction — Coupon for special camouflage for the Sd.Kfz. 234/3

Event tasks

To get the reward you need to complete any 3 from 5 tasks

Air tasks to receive “Marks of distinction for pilots”whilst flying an aircraft of rank III - V

• Destroy 35 enemies (x2 RB, x3 SB);
• Win 10 times with a battle activity of 60% or higher
• Bombing enemy bases - 10 tons (TNT)
• Destroy 11/4/2 enemies in one battle (AB, RB, SB)
• Get 20 “Assists in destroying enemies” achievements whilst flying aircraft

Ground tasks to receive “Marks of distinction for tankers”whilst controlling a ground vehicle of rank III - VI

• Destroy 40 enemies (x2 RB, x3 SB)
• Win 10 times with a battle activity of 70% or higher
• Capture 10 zones
• Destroy 11/6/4 enemies in one battle (AB, RB, SB)
• Get 20 “Assists in destroying enemies” achievements whilst controlling ground vehicles.

Terms and conditions

• You can follow your progress by clicking on “Your Nickname” → “Achievements” → Operation S.U.M.M.E.R..
• To complete the task you need to finish the battle in the required vehicle (required rank and type of the vehicle), otherwise the task will not count as complete.
• Only the destruction of player-controlled vehicles will progress the completion of the task, not AI controlled vehicles.
• After receiving three marks of distinction for tankers the tasks for tankers become inaccessible for purchase.
• Coupon for a decal “Tanker’s marks of distinction” may be traded for another decal’s coupon (Emblem of the armoured troops) in the workshop before the special is over
• Coupons can be traded on the Market only after the event is over. Coupons will be available after the event.
