War Thunder: T-64B vs M1 Abrams
Attention! Outdated news format. Content may not display correctly.
Can you hear the roar of engines? Do you see the deadly guns? That’s right,: today we compare the mightiest machines from update 1.77.
In the red corner — the Soviet T-64 "Bravo". In the blue corner — the American M1 Abrams MBT. Both vehicles sit at a battle rating of 9.3, that’s as high as you can get. Which machine makes for the better tank?

Atm there is no contest. Abram wins hands down
Stone_Fox, ..In real life the Abrams only meet poorly trained tank crews, out dated shells and disarmored export T-72. If you tell a story, tell all facts.
I wouldn't say no contest. I agree that the Abrams is a little better, but I have no trouble fighting the Abrams with my T-64B. The Abrams is SUPER forgiving though which I think makes the difference.
For the love of god please fix the turret of the challenger. How is it possible that tank has less turret protection against t64 and abrams? Turret protection is the only thing that tank has and you guys obliterated it..
Didnt know the blowout panels on the M1 were in-game! Very cool, and props to the devs for thinking of adding such a mechanic.
They are in but they are kinda broken because if the ammo gets hit you automatically get a engine fire that will burn down the tank, you can't wait for the fire to burn out like in real life.
Getting the best ammo in the T64B is a grind and a half. The M1 wins by a lot more than the 0.5 points in the video and should be a 9.7 tank.
When the Leopard 1 was released, some players fount it to be the best tank in War Thunder, while other hated it. Depend of the play style.
Most people who complain about the abrams have a) never played it or b) dont know how to kill it.. i killed 3 abrams in 1 match with the mays, 2 of them were with the 75mm from the front.. the turret ring is massive and has 50mm, if u hit it then the abrams is practically dead
why not challenger?!... yea.. cos that tank is garbage....
Who Cares.
its actually quite good, just dont play like noob abrams and stay behind, kill everything that moves. tho i would like the addon chobham and era armour it used...
Well... T-64B turret armor is getting easily penetrated by L15A5 apds somehow even though it shouldnt. Quite happy about it tbh as it makes stock challenger less pain
Thats the mantlet, it has no armour
Nope. I don't agree. Both tanks has +/- but I believe that T64B has more advantages. Armor/penetration. I would better meet Abrams than t64B into face to face fights.
Abrams is in everything better. Russian bias. Does not matter how many tanks you add when they will still stay with such a high repair cost and research points needed.
What a great day it will be when Russian tanks can go faster than 4km/h in reverse!
I'd like to see the weighted values of those attributes... ;)
