WarThunder: Т-55А vs M60A1 RISE (P)
Dear players,
Today we’re going to pit yet another two vehicles of War Thunder against each other. The first contender is representing the most-produced tank series in the world...it’s the Soviet T-55A. Its opponent is the modified version of the already great M60A1...it’s the American M60A1 RISE (P).

since they said something about Panzer I in one of the Shooting ranges, I hope they bring one, even through most variants will be very useless, and yes i know we have Panzerjäger I and FlaK-Panzer I, but i want a cute little Panzer I B or something like that ;~;
here is what the Tier 6 battle was suppose to look like M-60 rise vs T-55A this is what the top tier battle actually look like MBT-70 vs KPZ-70
the reason is because the apfsds of T55A nerf last year, not because the M60 is better
M60 is better ?
*MEGUSTA_307, M60 has better armor, better gun, manouvreablity etc, the reason why the M60’s are “bad” in this game is because the gun mantlet needs to be fixed to 254mm, Tiger 1’s can 1 shot the M60 ‘s....
If they wanted to April Fools it... BT-5 vs. KpZ-70. Although I might have laurels for the first kill of a KpZ-70 with a BT-5, when they came out. And probably a Double Kill too. But, WTStona, you do realize that the T-55 series has continuous upgrades and even TLATGMs. [Tank Launched ATGMS.] This also includes the T-62/64/72/80/90 series and some of the prototypes. Which might mean that the KPZ/MBT 70 reign of terror will probably be overthrown in the future.
But the main problem with the MBT-70 isn't really that it can fire ATGMs at all. The ATGMs aren't that great of a benefit. Either way, I highly doubt the MBT-70 and T-72 or T-64 will be the same battle ratings.
that shell should not go through the m60's reactive Armour its designed to stop shells not to let them pass right through. if what you say is true than the m60 would have being garbage against the tanks that it faught
Are you assuming all the M60's faught frontally? Because if so then please don't become a strategist
You have to remember the ERA was designed to prematurely detonate shaped charge ammunition. Against APFSDS, it's only marginally effective. The combination of high density materials, and extremely high velocities, makes ERA relatively bad against that type of round. And the M60 uses 1st Generation ERA, so it's even less effective against high speed kinetic rounds.
IS-2 1944 vs Tiger II (H) next?
If for whatever reason Gaijin now or in the future decides to add an Abrams tank, I will re-think my life, then waste my entire bank account a second time for it
Brits did make a good gun as the m68 isa L7 made on licence
Based on stat sheets and how it "should" work... This is accurate. However: Turret modeling on the T-54/55 series is trolly. The typical problem with rounded surfaces is that they provide a 90 degree surface which to shoot at from most angles, not so with the T-54/55s. They look like bubbles, but they seem to be internally modeled in such a way that the 355mm of pen just bounces anyways.
I agree with the verdict as the t-55 was made for attacking role where as the M60A1 RISE was really built to be a bit more defensive. in general the Russian tanks have always been built more for attacking role while the NATO nations really built tanks more on a defensive role
