Schräge Musik: a story of hesitation and confusion
Attention! Outdated news format. Content may not display correctly.
As you are probably well aware, schrage musik, or “off-tune music”, is the name Germans gave to fighter-mounted upward-firing autocannons. We have a few aircraft with that type of gun placement in our game as well, like the Ki-45 tei and Do 217 J-2. What considerably fewer people know is that the story of this design is a story full of hesitation and confusion.

so more Schräge Musik planes are coming?
Since we have schrage musik, it would also be neat to see the boulton paul defiant or planes with a simmilar set-up.
Hi I have a question! IF when the Italian tech tree will be added to the game , and IF the Hungarian tanks are added to the italians , can be added the Tas 44 to the game? because this tank was maded but when the tank was in the factory the allied airforce bombed the factory.....
I believe they have switched to a policy in which the vehicles had to have been made so if it was made and there is proof of it having exsited beyond a mock up then we could see it at some point. Before somebody mentions tiger 10.5, panther 2 and etc. those were all made before this semi recent policy change to fill gaps everything that they have added for several months if not the past year or 2 has existed in a physical form.
Very interesting video and well done. I think it is also important to say this kind of installation was pretty logic especially for a night fighter with no radar. In such situation probably you would fly at lower altitude than bombers and you would try to spot enemy bomber in the dark when it obscured a star passing below it. Once spot is successful, climb to aim front gun could mean to cause a stall, but who cares with upward firing guns?
whats new for april fools??? pls! M1A1!!
I have a feeling it will be infantry.
jaeking123, or teir 6 jets
they should add more italian jets and a tricolore skin and also phillipeian navy as i want to se some islanders wth rocket pods
I do hope Gaijin will implement Fw 190 variant with Schräge Musik - I do not expect miracles from it, just as an interesting addition to hangar))
Hello there are plans to add the Panzerkampfwagen 38(d) 7.5cm PAK 42 (L/70) light tank version and the other TD variants?
Hi. I have a question too. Why should anyone care at all? Schräge Musik is quite possibly the single most pointless 'thing' in the game. There is no radar, no true night missions, and no unescorted bombers to ambush flying slow and alone in the night sky, and there almost certainly never will be. I even tried to use them during high speed passes below the target, but the requirement to look up while shooting, ruins even that.
I really liked this video, I thought it was interesting and had loads of facts I never knew about. Great work guys!
I love to watch these videos!
