Field tests of the British AEC Mk.I armoured cars in Africa showed that its weak 40 mm cannon was far from enough to go toe to toe with the German Pz.III and Pz.IV tanks. Engineers at the AEC company proposed a new version of their armoured car with strengthened armament and a more powerful engine. The new wheeled military vehicle carries the renowned British 6-pounder 57 mm gun. The vehicle’s crew was increased to four and its top speed to 40 mph (65 km/h).

So the only British scout vehicle is an event vehicle which won't be available again for at least six months?
Absolutely stupid i know. UK was the heaviest user of scout vehicles during WW2 and still use them extensively now. But do not actually have a single working scout vehicle in this game... Go figure. (And this vehicle has to be EXTENSIVELY ground for weeks in the tasks list... which quite frankly... for XMAS... the time of gifts... is taking the P155).

So when will 15mm BESA armoured cars be introduced to British tech tree?
I like this vehicle but you guys at gaijin seldom use your brains, why are more than half the armoured cars (I don't count spaa) not even premium, they're gifts, stupidest thing since destroyers.
I'm going to get this without a doubt! Will it be classified as a reconnaissance vehicle with the new scout capabilities? Also, leave some armoured cars for the normal tech tree, will you? :)

I think the 65mm could have been on the turret. For example, when talking about the Comet a lot of sources say it had "101mm of frontal armour" but this is only on the turret.
Time4Tea, The stuff I was reading suggested the hull of the mk2 was on the front upgraded to around 50-65mm of armour however, theo only source for "less" I have seen (saying 25mm) has a lot of inconsistancies with it with reguards to comparing with a valentine (saying it was a valentine mk1 turret, when the aec mk2 didnt have that, only the mk1 did iirc).
Really looking forward to his AC and some possible scouting abilities. I hope it won't be broken like the Daimler though :/
