In update 1.71 New E.R.A. we will introduce a lot of new features and one of them is a long anticipated gunner view for aircraft with one gunner position.
In update 1.71 New E.R.A. we implement new camera view for the defensive turret for more than 50 aircraft with one gunner position. The view has been moved as close to the weapon as possible, thus parallax effect is reduced. This view mode is enabled by default, but you can switch back to classic view in the settings.

So, i'm curious; if a player's gunner is rendered unconscious while the player is using the gunner will it just simply switch to the pilot's view or something?
Just to clarify: if you zoom in, you get an actual "aim down sights" view? Or is the photo above just come to be due to the camera angle and the angle of the weapon? Cheers
I see the view is not looking though sights. Still have the floating aiming circle?
why does the gunners head not move to track the reticle ,you can see the reticle and gin sight go out of alignment, which wouldnt happen in rl life, the gunner would change his position to keep both in alignment
Oh boy, oh boy, this is so cool!
Just REMEMBER folks, this only for aircraft with only ONE GUNNER!!! You B-17/BV-238 pilots will not have this new view....If I read the announcement right!
Yup.
Will new skins and historical cockpit for existing aircraft be added in the 1.71 patch?
will i be able to change gunners position on a b17 for example?
aiming with a heavybomber or with any bomber is so hard can you guys don't do something about it ? like that you can put in range lifting the guns so you have the fire cross in a special range.
omg YES
