We are pleased to invite pre-beta testers to another test session of the War Thunder Naval battles.
The test will be held in a new location “Fiji” and the latest addition, the “Yugumo” class destroyer will take part in the test for the first time.
Even though WW2 never came to the archipelago, the Fiji islands are perfect for testing naval battles involving destroyers and the mosquito fleet. A combination of islands that provide cover for the MTB’s, Patrol boats etc. and open spaces suitable for a destroyers’ maneuvers with longer range battles allow every type of vessel to use its best advantages. Also this location has airfields so aircraft will be able to reload. Diverse spawn points positions allow players to choose different tactics.

- Vessels begin their mission with full ahead speed engaged.
- The Destroyer’s ai AA had been increased
- Aiming speed of the AA and secondary guns has been increased.
It’s very simple. Become the owner of one of the pre-order packs in the Gaijin store. Your purchase will automatically make you a member of the beta test.
In addition, the set contains some fantastic game bonuses, including a unique premium craft which will be available in beta test. Please note! Game sessions for the first testing stage will be available in special Events (Events and Specials - Naval Battles) at specific times, several times a week.
Do you own an early access package? Congratulations, for you it’s easy!
Launch the game as normal and you will be presented with the option to download the main testing files on joining one of the test events, there is no requirement for a different launcher. After this, visit the game’s official forum, log in with your account and check out the special forum section!
We’ve also opened an application for players who want to participate but haven't purchased the packs for the closed beta test, which starts later. You can send in an application and we’ll review you as a candidate for the role of captain on a military vessel.
Attention! You can participate in the testing from no more than two PC’s.
In the special forum section, you can find out about the testing schedule and news.
You can also discuss future naval vessels with the developers. We hope to see you there!

Pfuuuh, already thought there weren´t gonna be naval tests this weekend.. So happy!
Same Dude; I Saw The CTF Mode, So I Thought There Wasn't Gonna Be Any Naval For Us
Surprise! Surprise!
I still think it would be better if the aircraft in naval battles were naval aircraft only, you could put a carrier in as an airfield :) + thats another objectibe kill the enemy cv to prevent the nemy planes rearming
Always welcome to make a suggestion! o7
i love that idea alot man its good
can't wait for the Italian Royal Navy!
this is where Italy will surprise people
Neither can my swordfish ;)
Wy are there no German ships like the last test? There were German destroyers last test.
We are testing Pacific-inspired event this time!
Thulle_, The Soviets didn't have a pacific fleet in WWII if i remember correctly
Where's the Nasty PTF? It's listed in the avaliable ships but it's not there when you select the American ships in game.
Oh Yes. May The I.J.N Rek All Your Ships.
poor germans :(
No love for Japan! ...wait, what?!
Are you guys planning on adding aircraft carriers to naval battles because they were an important role in the Pacific? If you are how would you go about it with amazing AI Tetsuo ("War Thunder's Ace") flying off or actual players spawning at carrier? Sorry for asking for spoilers I'm just so hype for naval combat and it's implementation into the War Thunder community. Thank You!
We have to wait and see... dont think there are any plans right now for carriers, but there has been a ton of great ideas from the community for things like this
