Commanders, officers and other Squadron members, attention! In the nearest future we plan to run a closed test for the “World War” mode. The squadrons that will take part in the testing will be chosen through applications.
Please notice that each test session requires at least 26 players (1 commander/officer, 20 members and 5 people for the back-up)
|
The application form is only available for commanders, their deputies, and officers! |

Applications will be accepted until June 26th. The estimated period, may be slightly increased or reduced.
Hey! Because of this, me and my Squadron, The Blackjackets, will be taking people in to do this. We dont have many requirements or anything, we just want people who want to play to be able to play this new mode :D,
Thanks RavenWing03... this is all that really needs to happen. Well done. You could possibly set up a chat channel as well to assist in recruiting. Contact one of the GM's to sort it out with them. https://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/48923-who-is-who-and-reporting-procedure/ Cheers
I don't think Gaijin is understanding the issue that people are having with it being for Squadrons only. It's NOT because of the fact you need a squadron to play in WWM, it's the fact that you need a squadron which has 26 members online for you to even have a chance of playing. I don't think Gaijin understands how hard it is to get 4-6 players online at a time let alone 26 which is mind boggling to me, considering I'm in a pretty big clan and I've seen 20 players on at one time 2-3 times in 4yrs
Very excited for the mode but now it be for hardcore squads.....
Also marker RB shouldn't be added
For all the players complaining about the fact that this is squadron only. Supposing that you all read how this work and why is needed a squadron with the key role of the commander, instead of useless complain give suggestions on how this can work with random players. Thanks to all.
I cant help it, but i feel little sad about the way gaijin is going about this game mode. IT would be realy nice, if it would be possible to join as a lone player, and participade in battles of WW mode with the single choosen nation, for the game session (lets say month). Instead of the "squadron only".

Did this comment on mistake, don't know how delete.
Sure would be nice not to have top be a squadron to play this mode. I am in a squadron but trying to get online together is tough. Why not be able to join as individuals?
i have a suggestion, make countries which every player joins, and are asigned to an army, make them go from soldiers to generals. Squad members "officers and commanders" start as officers and commanders depending on their ranking, and can control armies, platoons and squads. that way everyone can play.
will this be free or do you have to buy it because i'm a free to play scrub
I was sceptical of this mode. It might be great though. limiting it to squds might be OK for Beta but I feel it's epic stupidity to do so on release. Many (many!) players don't like playing in squads and it seems rather silly to deny them this mode.
