Dear players!
The event, which we started for the 1st of April has come to an end, but our work on War Thunder continues.
We thank you for your feedback, it was very nice to read them!
This testing was successful in the first place because many of the mechanics in War Thunder have already been implemented before: X-Ray view, ATGMs, different types of shells, their distribution in the vehicle etc. War Thunder was ready for modern vehicles. New mechanics, which were implemented specially for the event will be tested for main game modes in War Thunder.
Implementation of such a mission was only possible with support, which you give us every day. Thanks to all the hundreds and thousands of people that helped us to test IXth rank. It was an absolute record among all of our 1st of April events by the number of players alone.
See you on the battlefield!
The War Thunder Team

are u still going to put modren tanks in through maybe in the furture
Can you (The devs) add Kamikaze to the game or let Japan plains have a Kamikaze attack ?
Ended up being somewhat more enjoyable then the normal game because people had vehicles that were fair matched with each other (unless you mastered helicopter flight and no one understood howto AAA) Biggest thing that keeps me from playing more is when I play 5.7 I'm always fighting 6.7 tanks, and the team gets smashed because of it(i.e. Japan/German 5.7 fighting allied teams made up of mostly 6.7!), its not enjoyable at all....
Had a great time. The Leo and the T-90 are great cavalry charge vehicles as well as being able to hole up in a fighting position and blow away anything in the sights. The Hind and Apache were also good. They are a new challenge for aviation because of the different flight control paradigm. I did try the AH-64 with a Hotas X stick and throttle in RB. That needs some time to get the control configuration right.
There is a joke inside another joke, and when two jokes meet each other, there is no joke. I think GJ is eating WG and AW alive, piece by piece, and i love it =))
Btw, AW is already "in the bag"=))
grate job Gajain
I really hope and look forward to that Modern Vehicles get introduced. And how about making Maps be for certain era (Tier) Vehicles already? Just random maps from w/e era is ruining the fun and immersion in the game. I want maps for certain time periods for those vehicles that where around then.
When will you finally add a R.B Ground Forces game mode? without aircraft? would be a nice addition as game mode, since it's what I would love to play, and more than me seem to have this idea.
Stona WT comrade! you deserve quality vodka *passes vodka*
The helicopters were pretty cool, but we badly needed a HOVER button. One of the best things about the helicopters is their ability to hover, so it makes sense to have a button that tells the instructor to ignore all other input and to try to remain stationary. Sadly, the helicopter controls were subpar even when compared to an old game like GTA Vice City. Of course, that was just a single weekend event. I am sure you can do a lot better than that.
