The event, which we started for the 1st of April has come to an end, but our work on War Thunder continues.
We thank you for your feedback, it was very nice to read them!
This testing was successful in the first place because many of the mechanics in War Thunder have already been implemented before: X-Ray view, ATGMs, different types of shells, their distribution in the vehicle etc. War Thunder was ready for modern vehicles. New mechanics, which were implemented specially for the event will be tested for main game modes in War Thunder.
Implementation of such a mission was only possible with support, which you give us every day. Thanks to all the hundreds and thousands of people that helped us to test IXth rank. It was an absolute record among all of our 1st of April events by the number of players alone.

This was my 1st April's Fools Day event here at WT, ex-WoT player since its early beta and its behind me since Dec. 2016, althought it was a great event I trully hope modern tanks to be implemented here. Much respect for the whole efford and best of wishes for the Gaijin Team to graduately implement this huge project in WT successfully.
Smokescreens are a perfect idea, as well as AGM systems!
It's cool and all that Gaijin is testing the engine for possible new game but could you guys at least give the Japanese tree more planes before you head out to making a new game and forgetting this one?
any chance we'll get the helicopters for their own pve missions?
This game is so awesome! I honestly had an absolute blast playing the tests with the 21st century equipment. I think that the sheer diversity present in the game is incredible. Soon the game will cover over a hundred years of aerial and mechanized warfare and I cannot wait to see what innovation Gaijin will bring us in the following months.
Well done Gaijin, the event was awesome. Will look forward to more modern tanks and Helicopters as well as planes incoming soon i hope. I hope the grind is reduced somewhat as it will be the death of modern stuff if it is not. It is now hard to go back to the regular game after these great tanks!

Great work! This game has the best April fools' day events. They are always fun and crazy. The amount of work you people do for such event is amazing!
War Thunder iy ready for modefn warfare.... Buf you still can't make an airfield in SB witouth hills, AAAs, Artys or Pillboxes on it.
I really loved it but I wished we could have seen the abrams in this event but even so I was awesome while it lasted can wait to see what gaijin has in store thanks guys for the awesome experience.
