Dear players!
The event, which we started for the 1st of April has come to an end, but our work on War Thunder continues.
We thank you for your feedback, it was very nice to read them!
This testing was successful in the first place because many of the mechanics in War Thunder have already been implemented before: X-Ray view, ATGMs, different types of shells, their distribution in the vehicle etc. War Thunder was ready for modern vehicles. New mechanics, which were implemented specially for the event will be tested for main game modes in War Thunder.
Implementation of such a mission was only possible with support, which you give us every day. Thanks to all the hundreds and thousands of people that helped us to test IXth rank. It was an absolute record among all of our 1st of April events by the number of players alone.
See you on the battlefield!
The War Thunder Team

Complementry Flettner FI 282 with ability to call artillery for everyone? X3 P.s. The event was beyond amazing :) I had so much fun trying the new mechanics.
gaijin, you now hold the future of your game in your hands with this card, modern tanks will be a game changer, do not screw this up, this one thing here will either make you or break you, it now sets you apart from world of tanks and armored warfare, dont screw it up, and dont let modern tanks see world war 2 tanks and even some cold war era tanks, also FIX the existing american tanks, the m60 doesent even have nearly enough armor, nor do most tanks have the correct ammo, dont screw it up!
you cheeky bastards i knew you were doing this :) but all inn all it was good other than when i went out in my leopard 2A5 my turret kept-ed on jolting now if you are going to implement helicopters you should do a digested tutorial ie every part in different sections bit longer than the tank and plane tutorials. I have one question is their a possibility of adding these tanks Challenger, Leclerc, T-10 japanse MBT,C1 criete if Italy gets added as-well as the other tanks you have added
ok thats a good news i think we gonna see a lot of modern stuff soon gaijin got it we need that kind a game in WT
Does this mean we are getting f15s and Abramses and apaches?
This was a truly amazing event...You showed AW how its done. Thank god you guys are considering modern tanks...get ready to shut up and take my money...Does this mean...more modern jets to ocompany them?
I Played 2 missions never flew a chopper but it was fun, this modern game mode if ever implemented will need some terrain with elevation changes so choppers can hug the earth pop up for a peak and lock on with ATGM's etc. They are sitting ducks to main guns and Geppards BAD! wit the desert maps. I guess climbing to 10k feet will help
That game mode needs to be in the game. Either make a separate War Thunder Modern game, or add it into this one somehow, but personally I miss this april fools delight and all the goodies it offered!... Please bring it back in some sort of capacity so I can throw more money your way with it!!!!
TAKE MY MONEY........
Going to have to grab my juck jet from fallout 4 so I can launch money at Gaijin!!!! xD
junk*
I loved the event... right up to the point where I was constantly killed by auto tracking hellfire missiles. Most of the time I was killed by helicopters while respawning. After more than 15 years of gaming I personally feel the combined arms doesn't really work in video games. The fact that there always needs to be restrictions on when you can use certain vehicles (And it's not just war thunder) already points to combined arms not being properly feasible in video games. But...
... I get the attraction and understand why some people like it. The mouse tracking missiles should at least NOT be in the game. Aircraft should have to work for their kills just like tankers have to. The maps will need to be bigger for modern fast tanks. The Sinai map seemed to work well, but the other map was just too small for these fast tanks. Not to mention I was easily able to shoot tanks at 1.5km which again suggests bigger maps would be better. This has potential, but will wait and see.
