Flames from the exhausts of aircraft engines – a small change that makes a big impression in War Thunder!
You can witness the exhaust flames in several engine settings, such as when starting or switching the engine to WEP. We have implemented the flame effect for all our aviation engines with exterior exhaust pipes (except for aircraft with flame suppressors and turbochargers). This new addition offers an even more immersive experience in the War Thunder universe and just looks awesome!
You’ll be able to see flames blasting from the exhausts of your favourite aircraft in War Thunder update 1.67 “Assault”. Clear prop!

Now we just have to wait until Jet Flames disappear, and re-gift a better, redone version of the flames to planes that actually HAD afterburner, but only when they're on WEP or even AFTBRN (Like the MiG-17)
This would look especially good in Night time battles :)!
i'm in love
I wonder if they are in the correct order too?
das dope
A P51 mustang with an open cockpit? Interesting....
Please add more light armor vehicles like the German half tracks
That's great now can we remove the unrealistic jet flame now, it should be a rare sputter of flame from time to time not a constant flame like it's in eternal afterburner (which didn't exist for these planes). Additionally we should have dark smoke trails from the engines as smokeless engines didn't come into use until far later (F-104 Starfighter era).
I actually never noticed that.... :/
Now that exhaust flames are here except the turbochargers and flame suppressors, will you guys ever add in both of those engines exhaust flames? as they could be spectacular to see a B-29 blow its tubes on start-up :)
