Introducing another aircraft model update, this time - it’s an iconic WW2 fighter - the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IIb.
The Spitfire Mk.IIb is not only one of the first aircraft in our game and not only a legendary fighter with a glorious military background. All pilots who chose to progress through the Spitfire research branch remember well that it is the first fighter with dangerous 20mm Hispano cannons. It is an Incredibly maneuverable, fast climbing aircraft - a true legend in the skies of War Thunder.
We are happy to introduce the new model of our good old friend. Meet the newly refined Spitfire Mk.IIb that has been redesigned according to the highest quality standards that our artists follow. The new appearance of this elegant fighter will be liked by both veterans and new players of War Thunder

Nice work. Really, well done!
so Gaijin entertainment are you going to add other iconic aircraft like the miles m20 ,western whirlwind ,possibly defiant if you change your mind ,avro Vulcan and victor possibly or any other British fighter jets cos there are a fee and secondly i know you want to do what the fan base wants but after the Jap i get bad ping and fps now and then on new maps added and some times old ones my tank got one shotted cos i had the game jolting then when i got it back it didn't correct and i died.
im here to talk about our common enemy, the panzers and T-34,the tanks dat will always murder u,we must stahp em111!!1
wait we already have the 2b what r u guys talking about
on nvm model change
Looks great but what about P-40 or A6M's?
So: looks nice, but if you want people to play lower tier birds, how about fixing the broken MM thing? I don't fly low tier much anymore because I ALWAYS face stuff 1br higher and get hosed. The only answer to that is to fly max BR where there ISN'T anything higher. Also, remasters are all well and good, but it better have a LOWER polygon count or you are screwing folks with older computers. Also, how bout the independent Italian tech tree? why redo existing planes when it isn't finished?
Great! I really hope to see the model update hit the Bf 109 F-4's and Fw 190D's soon too ;)
Brilliant ! This will be a beaut to skin. May I ask, isnt this the Mk IX model with the Mk I/IIa's shortened nose and altered rudder?
Yes... We need more Spitfire... It's getting boring...
Will we one day see the remodel or more so a re texture of jet exhuast effects and also see a funtioning motion of a jet engine turbine spinning, i would be nice if jet engine turbines were spining instead of texture still skin.
