Naval Forces have long had a presence in War Thunder combat since the very beginning. Often pilots begin their battles from an Aircraft Carrier in the pacific theatre or find their mission objects to be an assault on Capital Ships leading an attack task force. But how well do you know your ships? Do you have what it takes to go toe to toe with a Battleship in your aircraft? How many torpedoes does it really take to send a Carrier to the depths?
Our dedicated Wikipedia article breaks down the damage model of the computer controlled AI ships that are fighting alongside (or against!) you in battle, giving pilots the ultimate guide to best equip their aircraft for Naval Assault and make the most of their onboard arsenal. Covering every Cannon, Rocket, Bomb or Torpedo needed to achieve victory!

Nice, we need more of these articles.
You can find many of them on our Wiki :)
The bombs and DM of AI ships seems to have changed from before i took a long break in the game the game, HE ones giving now uncertain results. It makes room for torpedoes which is nice now but a bit strange and not covered by the wiki it seems. Wish the Japanese AP bombs were more effective against AI ships than HE ones, waiting for this since ages but seems like it ain't gonna happen. This said i wish we had more AI ships to sink in maps, i miss the old Port AB battle with aricraft carriers
I am a little confused by the quoted "Destruction Requires" figures. Are these the figures for AB or RB? My experience is quite different...I know 1 torpedo in RB can reliably destroy anything up to and including a Heavy Cruiser...and US torpedoes will kill Japanese Light Carriers with 1 as well. US carriers I have been unable to get consistent results from Japanese torpedos...sometimes 2, sometimes 3...sometimes not even giving hits (more testing required).
Awesome! This article on the wiki page will REALLY help. Also, while I don't expect an answer, that looks like the map "Jungle" in the background...does this confirm that this map will be a host to naval battles as well as land and air battles?
cool, thanks for the chart, it really help actually :)
What about the RP-3 rockets that were used against shipping (or was it the AP Mk. I), i've heard they were quite effective, don't know against what they were effective against.
very helpful for those who don't use Wiki. Thanks Gaijin
