I always choose SPARK ammo belts, they are the best!
Will the list of ammuntion damage values be modified accordingly by the devs when they do ninja nerf/buff ?
if history is indication then answer is "no" - wiki contains lot of old data that not always is up to date
przybysz86, In others words, they use the old date for reference to make the pachts
will they tell us how many bombs it takes to kill a base ?
And not just KG bombs. Also lbs Bombs.
you could just search the forums for that, there are guys who did a full chart with how many bombs of each type you need to destroy a base. But as a rule of thumb a base takes 1500kg to destroy so around 3000lbs.
Since we now have a Battle Rating 1.7 plane (The Hampden) carrying 4,000 lbs of bombs, maybe it's time to give the B-25J Mitchells their typical bombload of 4 x 1,000 lbs General-pupose (GP) bombs as well... If this would upset play balance, given the B-25J's powerful defensive armament, perhaps a "no-package-guns" variant, as flown by the USAAF's 57th Bomb Wing in the latter part of the war would help redress the balance, e.g., a "B-25J-5" with the .50 caliber "package guns" removed. (??)
Had a read, really good explanation of the types, thanks!
Thanks
wow really helpful... Thanks!
Do HESH rounds simulate the explosion as well or only fragmentation on the inner surface of the armor? Because it seems sensible that given the amount of explosive, HESH shots should simply obliterate lightly armored vehicles, yet from my experience those can take ridiculous numbers of shells to take out if you hit some protruding elements of the hull.
I've experienced HESH rounds that strike enemies frontally but entirely obliterate their main gun, up to and including using a Type 60 against a Maus, firing a shot into the top of the upper glacis, and disabling both of his cannons- this suggests to me that there is considerable general explosive effect from HESH type ammo. The situation you described might be thanks to unusual armor configuration or ad-hoc spaced armor containing the damage, or even smaller caliber (anything under 90mm) shells
Why don;t you mention the historical premature detonation of russian 76mm aphe shells and the fact that (in-game) the russian aphe ignores normalization rules when hitting sloped armor. i;ve bounced 128mm shells from t 34, but russian 76mm vs t 34 is always one shot...
Is a third testing weekend planned?
