3D-Cockpit for all aircraft
In update 1.65 we plan to introduce one of the most anticipated features in Simulator battles: 3D cockpits for all aircraft that do not have them at the moment. Due to the absence of cockpits SB bomber pilots did not have proper immersion on the one hand, and had superior view with the virtual cockpit on the other. This is why we are introducing 3D cockpits - for the majority of multi-seat aircraft in most cases this means a dimensional cockpit model - a simplified cockpit, that takes real aircraft topography into account, as well as pilot allocation and provides a sufficient set of instruments to fly. The decision was made to implement cockpits in this manner for a very good reason. The creation of one bomber cockpit can take as much time as that of an entire fighter aircraft with cockpit! To put that in perspective, to create complete cockpits for all bombers in game would equate approximately to an entirely new nation's complete aviation tree.
Check a few examples of new cockpits:
Changes in the gameplay of bombers
Besides cockpits, there will be another interesting and long anticipated feature - changes in bomber gameplay. Firstly, according to popular demand in Realistic air and combined battles we are switching off the arcade bomb aiming circle, which on one hand will make dive-bombers and attackers more important and on the other hand it will make flying level bombers more interesting and skilfull - players will have to plan their attack and it will encourage them to use bomber view. Secondly, we plan to introduce an option to control bomb doors thus making it possible to drop numerous bombs at once which will make bombing more efficient - at the moment a player has to take the time needed for automatic bomb door opening into account, otherwise bombs usually miss the target.
Further improvements to the "X-Ray" mode
Another useful feature will be expanded functions for the X-ray mode in the hangar, in this mode, information about the nodes and component characteristics will be displayed, in particular - the model and power of the engine depending on the chosen game mode and unlocked modules.
As well as all this, we have concentrated on fixing a lot of different bugs, the list of these fixes will be published in the final change-log in the upcoming major update.

I understand that you will also increase range of tank rendering as now approaching a battlefield with a bomber at 2k meters causes, that it is impossible to see what is going on one a ground...
When will the update come out?
First dev server session isn't there yet so "soon"-ish.
guys i would like to say i was totally thankful to hear bomber cockpits. But one question: will they be added for arcade and realistic
Without confirmation from the lead developer - 90% sure it's a "yes", without removing the ability to fly in 3rd person view (arcade & realistic are not simulator after all)
Ouiche, You can fly sim 3rd person in gunner view right now, can we get some clarification on this update, will there still be 3rd person gunner view after SB cockpits are introduced?
so is the arcade bomb sight removed for level bombers and not dive bombers or is it fully removed for both. as i sure as hell wouldn't want to be in bomb sight mode doing a low alt dive bomb.
I totally understand this for Air RB, but im not a fan of losing the bomb aiming circle in combined battles. As it stands i am currently researching the Arado, canberra and R2Y2, and now i feel like all of the research i have put in to them has been a waste. personally i wouldn't fly them out in Air RB, only Combined battles as i find Air RB in a bomber to be very boring. ugh.
Get the 234 and do ground attack at LOW level like tree top height and I think you will change your mind.
TK1960SubDude, but i mean, i have literally no idea about aiming bombs in RB, I've generally avoided the dive bombers and such because im primarily a fighter pilot and i'm not too interested in learning how to aim bombs, but i guess i'll have to now if i want to have any success. Then again, wouldn't this mean it would be a better idea to use things like the Fw190s that can carry bombs instead of bombers now? because the advantage bombers had of the aiming circle is now gone?
In some maps, bombers can only destroy ground/naval units such as in Saipan. Should I quit the match if it's become too hard to hit ground unit with a bomber? Or you gonna add some strategic targets for heavy bombers?
So now that you are making bombing harder by removing the bombing circle, will you make the bombs damage radius larger and more realistic in tank battles again?
>>>>>in Realistic air and combined battles we are switching off the arcade bomb aiming circle<<<<< As a only tanker I really appreciate, that reticle really made it too easy, 1 guy killing the whole enemy team with 100% precise bombs thanks to that reticle wasn't really balanced
So we will now have first person cockpit, how about gunners?(if there is only one gunner on board)
Seems like Christmas are coming sooner this year ;)
