Chivalry was not an uncommon occurence in the skies of World War II, especially during the early stages of the war. In War Thunder, you have the opportunity to engage in friendly duels with your friends and clanmates, to both increase your experience with the machine you are flying, as well as to hone your skills as a pilot in general. In this episode, we take a look at how to set up such a fight and what's important to make it fair for both sides.

Was hoping for a [Development] post. not this.
Yep, I've seen that there is supposed to be the Vulcan, and Gepard and wan't to see if it is legit, as they were said to be in 1.57 or 1.59 March 2015 by a Mod on forums.
And a Shilka and the ASU-57 + ASU-85.
*facepalm* a) gunpods are heavy. b) having identicle aircraft does surfcace skill in that particular aircraft. But if you get for example, a tempest mk V against a bf109 K-4, the tempest will win most of the time. Reason being is that different aircraft often have slightly more advantages over another. c) P39 isn't that sable, it wobbles so much with joystick. Also Yak-1b seemingly has high thurst to drag ratio at high speeds as well, so don't underestimate it. d) RIP Simulator and Arcade Respec
Couldnt agree more on these points
me and a couple of my friend did a air dual on finland and we were in b17 l's it was is simulator and was very VERY fun
how exactly is it an air duel if you are in bombers? seeing as you cant do maneuvers in them it seems more gunship-style passes instead of a duel
" War is not fair " This saying was, is and will still be true in terms of war. If you want a game to be realistic as a historical event, it will be unfair, which makes it more interesting and challenging.
Chivalry in the skies was incredible. I highly suggest reading "A Higher Call" to learn more about Franz Stilger and Charlie Brown and about this in general. Many instances of even German pilots being chivalrous. Also two videos of the "Dogfights" series (available on Youtube) has examples as well.
theres 1 minor problem, and its the fighter. Yak-1. most will olny think im a idiot now, but the Yaks are heavily broken, and a hackers plane of choice. thanks to easy to break code, broken flight model and its clearly more inaccurate than the US air force in the godzilla 1990's movie. plus the Spitfire isnt that perfect. its carburettor is the main issue with it. so it can join a duel as other planes. or you could mention the hurricane.
Why is your point of reference a cheesy movie to begin with? I don't see what that has to do with real-life specs....
Bearcats guns end match to quickly, no fun. Choose p39 with 37 MM....
Duels are fun as long as you're not pinned against a guy who wants to ram at any cost. I suppose I have lower percentages overall because I play for yeah the win but enjoy the dogfight. In time I suppose I'll get better and start really going for the duels but I'm not there yet.
Trolling us,... all "Duel" Events are not like that,... please to made a new thing to have your Head on without guns , like a reach point for both team behind the ennemy team.
A little bit OFF topic ,I know, but any ETA when it comes the official Hungarian dub for the game? I mean this:https://youtu.be/6Z7S6RNk1OE?t=57s Thanks for answer!
